SVAMITVA Scheme stands for “Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas”. It is a central sector scheme. It is implemented by the “Ministry of Panchayati Raj”. The scheme is implemented with the aim of providing property rights to residents across rural areas.

‘Swechha’ programme

(Andhra Pradesh government)

to tackle the stigma attached to menstruation, prioritize female personal hygiene, and encourage a healthy dialogue of information. ‘Swechha’ (meaning freedom) is intended to ensure affordable access to health and menstrual hygiene in adolescent girls and women. Provide good quality branded sanitary napkins to female students at government educational institutions free of cost.
‘Mission Kavach Kundal’

(Maharashtra Government)

a special Covid-19 vaccination drive named as Mission Kavach Kundal, with the target of inoculating 15 lakh people everyday.
‘Desh Ke Mentor’ Programme

(Delhi Government)

This programme will be implemented across all the schools in Delhi.

This programme was launched with the aim of providing students with young mentors. Young mentors will guide the students from classes IX to XII in navigating their higher education as well as career path.

Gati Shakti National Master Plan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a Rs 100 lakh crore national master plan called “Gati Shakti National Master Plan” on October 13, 2021.

This plan was launched for multi-modal connectivity with the aim of developing infrastructure to reduce logistic costs and boost Indian economy.

‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme

Punjab CM Charanjit Channi launched ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme to confer proprietary rights on the people living in the houses within the ‘Lal Lakir’ of villages and the cities.
Prashasan Gaon ke Sang’ Campaign

(Rajasthan Government)

a mega campaign named – ‘Prashasan Gaon Ke Sang’ started from October 2, 2021 (Gandhi Jayanti) till December 17, 2021, to provide local access to government services in the remotest villages of the state.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package insurance scheme

(Central Government)

The centre extended the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package (PMGKP), the insurance scheme for healthcare workers fighting covid-19 for another six months.

The scheme was launched in March 2020 to provide comprehensive personal accident cover of Rs. 50 Lakh to health care providers including community health workers and private health workers.

India’s 1st ‘One Health’ Consortium

On October 14, 2021, the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) launched India’s 1st ‘One Health’ consortium to carry out surveillance of important bacterial, viral and parasitic infections of zoonotic as well as transboundary pathogens. It will consist of 27 organizations led by DBT-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad (Telangana).
“Mukhyamantri Ration Aapke Dwar Yojana”

(Madhya Pradesh)

The government of Madhya Pradesh (MP) has announced the implementation of the scheme ‘Mukhyamantri Ration Apke Dwar Yojana”, which will start from November 2021. Under this scheme, ration will be provided at the doorstep of the villagers where there are no Fair Price Shops (FPS).
“Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store” Scheme

(Chhattisgarh)

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has virtually launched a new scheme named ‘Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store scheme’ to provide low-cost generic medicines and enable seamless healthcare services to the vulnerable people of the state.

 

The scheme will be implemented by the Urban Administration and Development Department (UADD).

Under this scheme, people will get a discount between 50.09 percent and 71 percent on the MRP (Market Rate Price) of generic medicines.

‘Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission’

PM Narendra Modi has launched ‘Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (ABHIM)’ worth Rs 64,180 crore from Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi.

Under this, 17,788 rural health and wellness centres in 10 high focus states will get support. 11,024 urban health and wellness centres will be established.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched ‘Go-Green’ scheme & its Portal to provide electric two-wheelers at subzidised rates to construction and industrial workers of the state.

Narayan Tatu Rane, Union Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) launched ‘SAMBHAV’ an e-national level Awareness programme 2021 to promote the role of entrepreneurship towards the development of India.
Krishi UDAN 2.0

(Civil Aviation Ministry)

Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched Krishi UDAN 2.0, laying out the vision of improving value realization through better integration and optimization of Agri-harvesting and air transportation.

It proposes to facilitate and incentivize the movement of Agri-produce by air transportation.

An online platform called e-Kushal (Krishi UDAN for Sustainable Holistic Agri-Logistics) would be developed to facilitate information dissemination to all stakeholders regarding transportation of agricultural produce.

Academic Scheme ‘Illam Thedi Kalvi’

(Tamil Nadu)

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched ‘Illam Thedi Kalvi’ (education at doorstep) scheme at Mudaliarkuppam, Villupuram district which promotes education at all levels, right from school to university, for all sections of society.

Persons who have studied upto class XII can educate school students from classes I to V and diploma holders can educate college students.

 

Government Scheme/ Campaign (September, 2021)

SCHEME PURPOSE
‘Mera Kaam Mera Maan’ Scheme (Punjab Government) The Punjab Cabinet gave a nod to a new scheme that will help the unemployed youth in the state to hone their skills and increase their chances of getting a job.

These youngsters will be given short-term skill training free of cost under the ‘‘Mera Kaam Mera Maan” scheme of the state government. A target of 30,000 beneficiaries has been proposed, at a cost of ₹ 90 crores.

The scheme also provides an employment assistance allowance of ₹ 2,500 per month for a period of 12 months from the start of the training course, which will be conducted at Punjab Skill Development Mission training centres.

‘My Pad, My Right’ project

(in Tripura)

In Tripura, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has inaugurated a project called ‘My Pad, My Right’ initiated by NABARD and NABFOUNDATION at Killa village in Gomati district. The project aims to bring livelihood and menstrual hygiene closer to rural women by way of grant, wage support and capital equipment.
Vatan Prem Yojana

(Gujarat)

The Vatan Prem Yojana was launched on August 7, 2021.

Donors under the project: Governing body has made it possible for donors to send their money online. Under the scheme, Non-Resident Gujaratis (NRGs) and NRIs can contribute 60 percent of the cost of a village-level project. Remaining 40 percent amount will be borne by the state government.

Vatan Prem Yojana: Vatan prem Yohana is a repackaged version of Madar-e-Vatan scheme by the state government of Gujarat. Madar-e-Vatan has been renamed due to association of the title with Persian language. In the earlier version of the scheme, contribution of the state government and NRIs was 50:50. Now, it has been changed to 60:40.

‘Millet Mission’

(Chhattisgarh Government)

with the objective of making the state a millet hub of India. On the occasion of launch of the mission, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel noted that state will soon become the millet hub of India.

Aim: Millet Mission initiative was launched with the aim of giving the farmers right price for small cereal crops and to provide them input assistance, procurement arrangements and processing.

‘Project Udaan’

(IIT-Bombay)

on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2021. Project Udaan was launched with the aim of breaking the language barrier that many students face while joining the institutes of higher education.

Project Udaan enables the translation of textbooks and other study material of the engineering and other streams from English to Hindi & other Indian Languages. It helps in translating engineering textbooks and learning materials in one-sixth the time as compared to manual tasking.

While addressing the 2021 edition of ‘Creator Day India’, Instagram Head Adam Mosseri noted that India is one of the fastest growing markets for photo sharing and short video platform.
“Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana”

(Indian Railways)

Indian Railways took a leap in advancement of Skill India Mission by launching the “Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana (RKVY)” under the aegis of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)”.

This Mission will provide Railways an entry level training in industry relevant skills with the help of 75 Railway training institutes across India.

‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGI-Pay Sakhi’

       (J&K government)

In Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has launched a new mission called ‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGI-Pay Sakhi’. The mission was launched at Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Pampore.

He outlined that DIGI-Pay Sakhi has introduced financial inclusion within the UT’s Self Help Group (SHG) ecosystem, creating much needed financial access points with greater transparency even in the remotest of the areas.

“Ek Pahal Campaign”

The Ministry of Law and Justice has launched a Pan-India Special Campaign called “Ek Pahal Drive” for Justice Delivery at doorstep on September 17, 2021.

The campaign was launched in a bid to encourage mass registration under Tele-Law. The campaign was launched by Department of Justice and NALSA.

The Reserve Bank of India has announced to include street vendors of tier-1 and tier-2 centres, identified as part of the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi Scheme) as beneficiaries under the Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) Scheme.

Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) Scheme was launched by RBI to encourage deployment of Points of Sale (PoS) infrastructure (both physical and digital modes) in tier-3 to tier-6 centres and northeastern states.

‘Mission Niryatak Bano’

(Rajasthan Government)

The Rajasthan government’s industries department and the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) have launched the ‘Mission Niryatak Bano’ campaign to promote aspiring exporters in the state.
‘Gati Shakti’ Infra Scheme

(Central Government)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15th Aug announced an ambitious ₹100 lakh crore holistic infrastructure development programme ”Gatishakti”, which is aimed at boosting employment opportunities and productivity of industries.

Gatishakti will be a national master plan which will lay the foundation of the overall infrastructure in the country and give an integrated and holistic path to the economy.

‘Naadu-Nedu-2’

(Andhra Pradesh)

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on 16th August launched the second phase of the Nadu-Nedu initiative at ZP High School in P Gannavaram mandal in East Godavari district, with a budget of Rs 4,500 crore to remodel 16,000 government schools across Andhra Pradesh.

Earlier, he also started the distribution of Jagananna Vidya Kanuka kits to 4.73 crore students studying in government and aided schools for the academic year 2021-22.

‘Ubharte Sitaare Fund’

(Finance Ministry)

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched an ambitious ‘Ubharte Sitaare Fund’ on August 21, 2021. It will be launched for export-oriented firms and startups.

Ubharte Sitaare fund has been set up jointly by Exim Bank and SIDBI.

‘Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumihin Majdur Nyay Yojana’

(Chhattisgarh)

provision of ₹200 crores benefiting 12 lakh landless families.

The aim of the scheme is to support rural landless labourers with minimum wages so that they can access basic amenities. The beneficiaries are expected to receive their benefits before the end of this financial year, on March 31, 2022.

The families of the beneficiaries will each be ensured the amount of ₹6,000 annually. There is also in place a mechanism to resolve any discrepancy related to a beneficiary’s bank account, within 15 days.

‘SUJALAM’ Campaign

Ministry of Jal Shakti has launched a ‘100 days campaign’ named SUJALAM to create more and more Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus villages by undertaking wastewater management at the village level.
SAMRIDH programme

Start-up Accelerators of MeitY for pRoduct Innovation, Development and growth (SAMRIDH)” programme.

The programme was launched by Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, Union Minister MeitY. The objective of the SAMRIDH programme is to create a conducive platform to Indian Software Product start-ups to enhance their products and securing investments for scaling their business.

Mission Vatsalya

(Maharashtra)

Maharashtra government launched a special mission called “Mission Vatsalya” in order to help women who lost their husbands to COVID-19. Mission Vatsalya will provide several services and some 18 benefits under one roof to those women.

Under this mission, schemes like Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana and Gharkul Yojana will benefit those for women.

‘YSR Bima’ scheme

(Andhra Pradesh)

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched the ‘YSR Bima’ scheme with new guidelines, where the government itself will directly pay the insurance amount to the family of the deceased to make the insurance claims easier.

In order to support 1.32 lakh families through the YSR Bima scheme, the State government allocated Rs 750 crores for the year 2021-22. In the last two years, the State government had spent Rs 1307 crore for YSR Bima.

Electric Vehicle Policy-2021

(Maharashtra)

The policy announced by the State Environment Minister, Aaditya Thackeray aims to accelerate the adoption of Battery Electric Vehicles in the country.

The new EV policy introduced in Maharashtra is a revision of the 2018 policy. It is introduced with an aim to make Maharashtra the “topmost producer of battery-powered electric vehicles in India.” The policy also aims for electric vehicles (EVs) to make up 10 per cent of all new vehicle registrations, by 2025.

‘One Block, One Product’ scheme

to encourage and promote small industries in the rural areas.

Under the scheme, the state government plans to connect every block of the state with some industrial vision and the government is working expeditiously on this scheme.

‘Stand Up India Scheme’

(Government of India)

The Government of India has extended the duration of the ‘Stand Up India Scheme’ up to the year 2025.

The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister on 05 April 2016 to facilitate loans to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and women borrowers, to promote entrepreneurship among them.

“Dalit Bandhu’ scheme

(Telangana)

‘Telangana Dalita Bandhu’ scheme will be launched soon for Dalit empowerment.

Huzurabad Assembly Constituency has been selected to implement the ‘Telangana Daltha Bandhu’ scheme, under the pilot project.

Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Padhati

(Government of India)

Union Government is implementing Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Padhati (BPKP) as a sub scheme of Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) since 2020-21.

It aims to promote traditional indigenous practices. The scheme focusses on exclusion of all synthetic chemical inputs and promotes on-farm biomass recycling. Under BPKP, financial assistance of Rs 12200 per hectare for 3 years is provided for cluster formation.

‘Devaranya’ scheme

(Madhya Pradesh)

In order to promote AYUSH in Madhya Pradesh and to link it with employment, the government has made the ‘Devaranya’ scheme.

The scheme has been made to provide employment to the people living in the tribal areas of the state.

‘Pink Protection’ project

(Kerala police)

for the protection of women in public, private and digital spaces. For the project, 10 cars, 40 two-wheelers, including Bullet bikes and 20 bicycles, were allotted, which were flagged off by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The “Pink Protection” project aims to prevent dowry-related issues, cyber-bullying and humiliation in public places.

Ankur scheme

(Madhya Pradesh)

a scheme under which citizens will be awarded for planting trees during monsoon.

A sapling plantation campaign will be carried out during the monsoon. Participants will have to upload a picture while planting the sapling and then upload another photograph after taking care of the sapling for 30 days. The winners will then be selected from each district, following a verification, to get the Pranvayu Award.

Citizens can participate in the tree plantation drive by registering themselves on the Vayudoot app, which has been launched by the state for managing the activities of the “Ankur” program.

YounTab scheme

(Ladakh)

Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, launched the YounTab scheme for students. Under the scheme, about 12,300 tablets were distributed among students from Class 6th to 12th in government schools in Leh. It is an initiative of Department of School Education.
Knowledge Economy Mission’

(Kerala)

to boost job prospects in the state by supporting knowledge workers. Project will be launched to bring ongoing efforts of providing employment to educated people and support ‘knowledge workers’ under a single programme.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Urban (PMAY-U)

(Central government)

During 54th meeting of Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMS), central government has approval 708 proposals for construction of 3.61 lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Urban (PMAY-U).

All these houses will be constructed on line of ‘Beneficiary led Construction’ and ‘Affordable Housing in Partnership Verticals’. Total investment under this mission is Rs. 7.35 lakh crores out of which centre is assisting Rs. 1.81 lakh crores. So far, 96067 crores of funds have been released.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban: Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is implanting this mission which was launched in June 2015 to address the problem of shortage of urban housing, It seeks to provide pucca houses to all eligible urban households by 2022.

‘Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan’

(Madhya Pradesh)

to raise awareness among people on covid-19 pandemic. Yuva Shakti Corona Mukti Abhiyan means “free from corona with the help of youth power campaign”.

Under the campaign, college teachers and about 16 lakh students will be made aware of covid-19 infection by teaching them Covid appropriate behavior and vaccination.

‘Mukhya Mantri Udyaymi Yojna’ scheme

(Bihar)

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on 19th June launched two ambitious schemes christened as the ‘Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyaymi Yojna’ and the ‘Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyami Yojna’ to promote entrepreneurship among youth and women of all sections under the state’s ‘Mukhaya Mantri Udyami Yojna’ scheme.

Youth and Women-irrespective of caste and creed, wishing to start entrepreneurship, will get a loan of Rs 10 lakh, in which Rs 5 lakh would be a grant from the state government and the rest Rs 5 lakh will come as loan, refundable in 84 instalments.

Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana

(Delhi)

to provide financial assistance to the families who lost a member due to Covid-19 pandemic.

According to notification by Social Welfare Department, Rs 50,000 ex-gratia will be provided to every family that has lost a member amid pandemic. A pension of Rs 2,500 per month would also be given to those families that lost the sole breadwinner to covid-19 pandemic.

Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana

for journalists. Odisha has declared the journalists as frontline Covid warriors. Under this Yojana, a health insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh will be provided to each Journalist.

Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh will be provided to the families of journalists who died from COVID-19 while performing duty.

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi

(Central Government)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently released the eighth instalment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi.

Under the Scheme: The Government of India transfers Rs 6,000 to the account of small and marginal farmers. These funds are transferred in three instalments. The first instalment of Rs 2,000 is made between April and June. Second Instalment is made between August and November. The third instalment is made between December and March.

‘COVI Van’

South District Police of Delhi has launched a COVI Van Helpline (012- 26241077) for senior citizens in the neighbourhood amid the coronavirus situation here.

‘Ayush Ghar-Dwar’ program

(Himachal Pradesh Government)

to keep the home isolated Covid-19 positive patients healthy by practising Yoga. This program has been started by the Department of AYUSH in collaboration with the Art of Living organization.
‘Marun Gaam: Corona-Mukt Gaam’ (My Village: Corona-Free Village)

(Gujarat chief minister)

Vijay Rupani launched this campaign on the occasion of the state’s foundation day.

The campaign was launched to check the spread of infection due to coronavirus at village level to ensure the villagers remain free from the pandemic.

Smart Kitchen Scheme

(Kerala)

Pinarayi Vijayan, announced a secretary level committee that will formulate guidelines and recommendations on implementation of “Smart Kitchen Scheme” in state to fulfil commitments of LDF.

Smart Kitchen Scheme will be launched by July 10, 2021. Under the scheme, women of state will be given loan to refurbish their kitchen. Loan will be provided with a low-interest rate in instalment schemes. Scheme seeks to reduce workload of women’s domestic labour.

Family Pension under Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC)

(Central Government)

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Government of India has announced two major measures for those families who have lost the earning member due to Covid.

Firstly, the government have decided to provide family pension to such families and secondly, provide them with enhanced & liberalised insurance compensation.

Dependent family members of such persons will be entitled to get the benefit of a pension equivalent to 90% of the average daily wage drawn by the worker as per the existing norms.

This benefit will be applicable with effect from 24 March 2020 till 24 March 2022.

Employees Provident Fund Organization- Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI)

(Central Government)

The amount of maximum insurance benefit has been increased from Rs 6 lakh to Rs. 7 lakhs. The provision of minimum insurance benefit has been retained at Rs. 2.5 lakh.

This benefit will apply retrospectively from 15 February 2020 for the next three years, that is 15 February 2022.

Rs 10 Lakh PM CARES Fund for kids orphaned due to COVID

(Central Government)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a number of welfare measures for children who lost their parents to COVID-19.

Fixed Deposit in the name of the child: The total corpus of the fund will be Rs 10 lakh for each child. This corpus will be used to give a monthly financial support/ stipend when the child reaches 18 years of age, for the next five years to take care of his or her personal requirements.

Upon reaching the age of 23 years, the child will get the corpus amount as one lump sum for personal and professional use.

 

Education: Children under 10 years will be given admission to the nearest Kendriya Vidyalaya or in a private school as a day scholar.

Children between 11-18 years of age will be given admission to any central government residential school such as Sainik School and Navodaya Vidyalaya.

 

Health Insurance: Each child will be enrolled as a beneficiary under Ayushman Bharat Scheme (PM-JAY) with a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh.

The premium amount for these children will be paid by PM CARES, till they attain the age of 18 years.

SANKALP SE SIDDHI

(TRIFED)

The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) operating under Ministry of Tribal Affairs recently launched the “SANKALP SE SIDDHI”.

It is a hundred-day drive. The main aim of the drive is to activate the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras located in tribal villages. It aims to cover 1,500 villages in India in hundred days.

Around one hundred and fifty teams have been formed to roll out the drive. These teams will identify the locations for clustering them as TRIFOOOD and SFURTI units.

Mask Abhiyan

(Odisha)

The Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently launched a fourteen day “Mask Abhiyan” initiative to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The main objective of the initiative is to turn the use of mask into a habit. This will play a huge role in controlling the current resurgence of COVID-19. Also, the Odisha State Government has increased the fines for violators from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000.

“Aahaar Kranti” Mission

Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy recently released the first tranche of Rs 672 crores under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme for the year 2021-22. This reimbursed the fees for 10.88 lakh students. So far, a total of Rs 4, 879 crores have been disbursed under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.

Gram Ujala Scheme

To provide the cheapest LED bulbs in the rural areas. The scheme was launched by the Union power and new and renewable energy minister, Raj Kumar Singh.

In the first phase, the scheme was launched from Arrah district in Bihar. In this phase around 15 million LED bulbs will be distributed in the villages of Arrah (Bihar), Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Nagpur (Maharashtra), and western Gujarat.

In this scheme, poor households to get LED for Rs. 10.

“SAAMAR Campaign”

“SAAMAR Campaign” which stands for “Strategic Action for Alleviation of Malnutrition and Anaemia Reduction” campaign recently. The campaign was launched to tackle the malnutrition in Jharkhand.

Mission Gramodaya

Mission Gramodaya has been started for the overall development of rural areas.

Universal Health Scheme (UHS) (Rajasthan) Ashok Gehlot announced that his government’s much anticipated Universal Health Scheme (UHS) will be launched on May 1 this year.

Every family will get an insurance benefit of ₹ 5 lakhs under the Universal Healthcare scheme. Those covered under Ayushman Bharat Mahatma Gandhi Rajasthan Swasthya Bima Yojana along with contract workers and small and marginal farmers can avail this scheme for free.

“Poshan Abhiyan”

Tribal TB Initiative

Dr. Harsh Vardhan launched the “Tribal TB Initiative”, as a step towards achieving ‘TB Mukt Bharat’ by 2025.

The Ministry also released a guidance note on Joint Action Plan for elimination of Tuberculosis (TB), a Special Edition of Tribal Ministry’s Publication ‘ALEKH’ on TB and a document on Tribal Tuberculosis (TB) Initiative at the event.

Light House projects (LHPs)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Light House projects (LHPs) at six sites across six States through video conference on 1st January 2021.

The LHPs will be implemented at Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Rajkot (Gujarat), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Agartala (Tripura) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). The project is being constructed under the Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC)-India. It has been conceptualised by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Under the programme, over 1,000 houses would be built in each of the six cities in 12 months along with allied infrastructure facilities.

The scheme focuses on sustainable development of fisheries in India. It is to be implemented between 2020-21 and 2024-25.

Aims: The scheme aims to enhance fish production to 70 lakh tonnes by 2024-25. It aims to double income of fish farmers. The scheme will reduce the post harvest losses of fisheries sector from 20% to 25% to 10%.

Nagaland Government today launched the Nagaland Ex-gratia Scheme for Students Studying outside Nagaland belonging to any recognized scheduled tribes and indigenous inhabitants of the state.

Aims: Students who die outside the state while pursuing secular, technical, professional, diploma and theology courses. Five crore Rupees will be kept in a fixed deposit and the interest accruing from the deposit will be utilized for payment of ex-gratia amounting to five lakh rupees to the nominee of the deceased students.

The scheme provides social security to people in terms of life/accidental insurance cover and pensionary benefits to individual families.
.Eligibility:  To avail benefit of the scheme, the annual family income should be less than Rs 1,80,000 or a total landholding of less than two hectares.
Insurance Benefits:  The eligible beneficiary family will get Rs 500 per month. Out of this amount, the premium for the life insurance of a member of the age group of 18 to 50 years will be paid from his account at the rate of Rs 330 per year.

·     Mukhya Mantri Vriddha Pension Yojana (MMVPY), (Bihar) The scheme facilitates the amount of Rs. 400 monthly pension for all in the state above the age of 60 years who are not getting pension from the government.
·      ‘Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan’ (Finance Minister) Under this scheme, workers of unorganized sectors whose monthly income is less than Rs. 15,000 may avail the benefits by contributing Rs. 100 per month to further get Rs. 3000 per month after 60 year of age.
·        KALIA Chhatra Bruti’ (Odisha) It aims at providing financial assistance for technical and professional education to farmers’ children by incurring all expenses involved in various levels of education, such as course fee, hostel fee, mess fee by state govt.
·        Khusi scheme (Odisha) Aimed at improving menstrual hygiene among adolescent girl students in the state, with an outlay of Rs 466.08 crore over a period of 5 years.
·     Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme (i)The scheme will provide Rs 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmer families having combined land holding/ownership of upto 2 hectares.
(ii). The amount will be given in three installments of Rs 2,000 each and will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer, ensuring transparency in the entire process and saving time for the farmers.
·     ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Swabhiman Yojana’ (MP) Guarantees 100 days of employment every year to urban youth from Economically Weaker Sections(EWS).
·       Pradhan Mantri JI-VAN Yojana Pradhan Mantri JI-VAN (Jaiv Indhan – Vatavaran Anukool fasal awashesh Nivaran) Yojana.
It will provide financial support 
integrated Bioethanol projects using lignocellulosic biomass and other renewable feedstock. The total financial outlay is of Rs.1969.50cr for the period from 2018-19 to 2023-24.
·                     Arun-3 Hydro Arun-3 Hydro Electric Project (Nepal portion) by Sutlej Jal Vikas Nigam (SJVN) Limited. The project is on Arun River in Sankhuwasabha district of Eastern Nepal.
·       Gram Samridhi Yojana (Ministry of Food Processing Industries )

 

The scheme is aimed at helping the cottage industryfarmer producers’ organisation and individual food processors to increase capacity, upgrade technology besides skill improvement, entrepreneurship development and strengthening the farm-to market supply chain.
· Mukhyamantri Parivar Samman Nidhi Yojana 2019 (Haryana)

 

It is primarily meant for farmers of the state who cultivate on land with areas upto five acres and the families with an income of less than Rs. 15,000 per month.

The scheme would provide a sum of Rs. 6,000 yearly and each family has to nominate a member who will be provided with this amount.

· ‘Jal Amrutha’ (Karnataka Government

 

For the purpose of inauguration of the scheme, a function was organized by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj department at Dr B R Ambedkar Bhavan in Bengaluru.
The scheme plans to make people aware about the importance of conserving water and to prompt them to come up with ways to avoid wastage of water.
·     STARS scheme (HRD Ministry) i)Funds worth Rs 250 crore have been approved by the HRD ministry which will be utilised to sponsor about 500 science projects, selected on the basis of competitions.
ii) The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is the coordinator of the project, to whom the interested candidates would submit their applications.
·  Transport and Marketing Assistance (TMA) scheme Government of India with a view to boost to export of farm commodities to certain countries in Europe and North America introduced a scheme for providing financial assistance for transport and marketing of agriculture products.
·                     ‘Mukhya Mantri Karigar Sahayata’ (Odisha) The nodal department of the scheme is the Directorate of handicrafts.

i)Craftsmen with 10 years of experience and having annual income below Rs.1 lakh are eligible to get an assistance of Rs.800 per month.
ii) For craftsmen above 80 years of age would get Rs.1000 per month allowance for those has the same experience and annual income as above.

·   Yuvashree Arpan scheme (West Bengal) Yuvashree Arpan under which 50,000 youths will receive financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh for setting up an their own business initiatives.
·   Mukhyamantri Anchal Amrit Yojana (Uttarakhand) The scheme aims to provide 100 ml milk twice a week, free of cost, to 2.5 lakh children at 20,000 Anganwadi kendras of Uttarakhand.

 

·                     ‘Atal Aahar Yojna’ (Maharashtra) The target is set to cover 20000 workers and provide them with good quality food at a nominal cost of Rs.5 in the first phase of the scheme.
 The government is already providing a Subsidy of Rs.4.5 lakh to labourers for house construction and is planning to provide help in education, income and health as well.
·     Doorstep Banking (SBI) The State Bank of India has initiated a new ‘doorstep banking’ service for senior citizens, differently-abled and infirm account holders as well as visually impaired customers.
·      Wings’ (Aviva Life Insurance) It will helps women dream about what they will become, giving them a clearer picture of their future and their growth prospects. The programme will give them an avenue to freely communicate in a safe environment, allowing them to focus on growth and improvement.
·                     Young Scientist Programme’ or ‘YUva VIgyani KAryakram’ (YUVIKA 2019) To get young school children interested in space science and technology

The ISRO Young Scientist Programme YUVIKA 2019, which received an astounding response from students across the country, will be inaugurated on 13 May 2019. The Indian Space Research Organisation, in a fresh announcement today, stated that YUVIKA 2019, which is a two week summer vacation residential programme, will be conducted from 13 to 26 May 2019.

·  Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana  All eligible farmer families, irrespective of the size of their landholding. Earlier, it was applicable to farmers having two hectares of land.  The extension will include additional of 2.5 crore farmers which will led to rise its coverage to 14.5 crore farmers. The outlay of the revised scheme will be Rs 87,217.50 crore for 2019
·    Krishi Kiosk (Haryana) Om Prakash Dhankar, Haryana agriculture, and farmers’ welfare minister launched ‘Krishi kiosk’ for farmers at Panchkula, Haryana.

The kiosk comes under state’s ’‘Digital Kisan Suvidha’ plan, will give farmers the information about government schemes and also help them file claims under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana’ Scheme.
