Global Ayurveda summit Kerala Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan inaugurates The two-day summit organized by CII will deliberate on the theme “Mainstreaming Ayurveda through Startups, Innovation and Branding”.


2nd International solar alliance 2019 New Delhi Eritrea and Saint Kitts and Nevis have become the newest members of the International Solar Alliance (ISA). The two nations signed the ISA Framework Agreement during its second assembly held in New Delhi on October 31, 2019.

With this, the total membership of the International Solar Alliance has risen to 83.

16th Asean India Summit Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended 16th Asean India Summit in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

Speaking while co-chairing the 16th ASEAN-India Summit with Thailand Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, PM Modi said the Line of Credit of 1 billion dollar extended by India would be beneficial in ensuring physical and digital connectivity.

UN Climate Change Conference (COP 25) Spanish capital city of Madrid UN Climate Change Conference (COP 25) from 2 to 13 December. The decision was taken following Chile’s stepping down as host for the event due to the ongoing street protests in the South American country.
50th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2020 Switzerland


The 50th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting will be held on 21-24 January 2020, in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.

Aims: Engage world leaders in collaborative activities to shape the global, regional, and industry agendas at the beginning of each year. The development of the meetings’ programme is driven by WEF’s mission –- improving the state of the world.

2nd no money for terror conference 2019 Melbourne, Australia The 2nd ‘No Money for Terror’ 2019 conference going on in Melbourne, Australia. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G.Kishan Reddy is leading a five-member delegation to the ‘No Money For Terror’ Ministerial Conference taking place in Melbourne, Australia.

India will host the No Money For Terror conference to be held in 2020.

19th IORA Council of Ministers Meeting 2019 Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates


The United Arab Emirates (UAE), as the incoming IORA Chair, will host the 19th IORA Council of Ministers (COM) Meeting on 7 November 2019 in Abu Dhabi.

Under the theme of “Promoting a Shared Destiny and Path to Prosperity in the Indian Ocean”.

“The Regional Plan-2041 would be a plan of our dreams and aspiration set in a practical context and that it must be published before mid-2021.

As per a report by the United Nations, Delhi is slated to become the world’s largest metropolis overtaking Tokyo by 2028.

Shanghai Summit’s Heads Of Government Council Meet In 2020 India India will host the 19th council of heads of government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in 2020, the first such high level meeting of the eight-member grouping to be organised by New Delhi.

The SCO is a China-led eight-member economic and security bloc in which India and Pakistan were admitted as full members in 2017. Its founding members included China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

11th BRICS Summit 2019 Brasilia, Brazil


Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Brazil on November 13 and 14 to attend the 11th BRICS summit.

The theme of the BRICS summit this year is “Economic Growth for an Innovative Future” and it will be held in the capital city Brasilia.

BRICS Culture Ministers’ meeting Curitiba, Brazil Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel on 13 october participated in BRICS Culture Ministers’ meeting held in Curitiba, Brazil.

Speaking at the event Prahlad Patel asserted that BRICS for India is a valuable forum for consultation, coordination and cooperation on contemporary global issues of mutual interest.

G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting Okayama, Japan G20 Okayama Health Ministers’ Conference in Japan on 20 October. Harshvardhan represented by India.

The G20 is made up of 19 countries and the EU. The 19 countries are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the UK and the US.

JP Morgan International Council New Delhi PM met with the JP Morgan International Council in New Delhi on 22nd October. After 2007, this was the first time that the International Council met in India.

The International Council comprises of global statesmen like former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, former Australian PM John Howard, former US Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and Condoleezza Rice, former Secretary of Defence Robert Gates as well as leading figures from the world of business and finance like Jamie Dimon (JP Morgan Chase), Ratan Tata (Tata Group) and leading representatives from global companies like Nestle, Alibaba, Alfa, Iberdola, Kraft Heinz etc.

India, Prime Minister discussed his vision for making India a USD 5 trillion economy by 2024.


18th NAM Summit Baku, Azerbaijan The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit has been scheduled to be held between 25 October and 26 October 2019 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The 18th NAM summit 2019 will be preceded by Ministerial meetings and senior official meetings.

The 18th Summit Conference of the NAM will be hosted in October 2019 by H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Vice President Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu will lead the Indian delegation at 18th NAM Summit.

“Global Bio-India 2019” Summit New Delhi The Global Bio-India 2019, one of the largest biotechnology stakeholders conglomerate will be held for the first time in India at New Delhi from 21st to 23rd November, 2019. Announcing this at a Curtain Raiser in Delhi today, the Union Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said“India for the first time is hosting a mega event for the biotech community to attract investments, showcase our indigenous strengths and more importantly fuel the hopes and aspirations of the indigenous talent pool”.


7th RCEP ministerial meeting Bangkok, Thailand from 8-10september 2019 Commerce & Industry and Railways minister Shri Piyush Goyal attended the 7th Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) meeting of the 10members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) countries and its 6 Free Trade Agreement (FTA) partners in Bangkok, Thailand from September 8-10, 2019. Along with this meeting, he also attended the 16th ASEAN India Economic Ministers (AEM) meeting and the 7th East Asia Economic Ministers Summit held at the same place.
Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Geneva, Switzerland The 22nd session of the United Nations (UN) Committee on Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) was held at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Geneva, Switzerland from September 2-3, 2019. Indian delegation was led by Mrs. Shakuntala D. Gamlin, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD).
South Asian Parliamentarian conference Srilanka at the Colombo United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) along with the parliament of Srilanka at the Colombo city conducted the two-day-long 2019 UNICEF South Asian Parliamentarian Conference on Children Rights Convention to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the convention of the rights of the child. This is the 3rd convention conducted by UNICEF with parliamentarians for children where the meeting aims to discuss the issues faced by children and on the challenges to improve the child right.


45th G7 summit Biarritz, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France The G7 is a collective of seven of the world’s most industrialized and developed economies. Their political leaders come together annually to discuss important global economic, political, social and security issues.

PM Modi represented India to the meeting.


8th RCEP Inter-Sessional Ministerial Meeting 2019 Beijing, China A two-day 8th Interregional Ministerial Meeting of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) 2019  was held in Beijing, China on August 2-3, 2019 before the 7th RCEP ministerial meet which will be convened in Bangkok, Thailand on September 2019. In this meeting, all partner countries agreed to finalize trading deal negotiations.

Commerce Secretary Dr. Anup Wadhawan represented India to the meeting.



BRICS Foreign Ministers Meeting 2019


Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) Foreign Ministers Meet was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on July 25-26, 2019. India was represented by Gen. (retd) VK Singh who is the Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways.
NAM Ministerial Meeting Caracas, Venezuela

The Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement (Co-BNAM) was held in Caracas, Venezuela with the theme “Promotion and Consolidation of Peace through Respect for International Law”. India was represented by Syed Akbaruddin, Indian envoy to the United Nations.

5th India-EU High Level Dialogue on Migration and Mobility New Delhi It was co-chaired by Mr. Sanjiv Arora, Secretary (Consular, Passport & Visa and Overseas Indian Affairs) and Ms. Paraskevi Michou, Director General [Migration and Home Affairs], European Commission. It was also attended by Heads of Mission and other representatives of the Diplomatic Missions of EU Member States who were invited as Observers for the first time.

The 2nd edition of India-Russia Strategic Economic Dialogue 2019 New Delhi It aims at bilateral cooperation between two countries in various fields. It was chaired by Rajiv Kumar, Vice-Chairman of India’s think tank, National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, and Russia’s Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Timur Maksimov.

G20 Summit 2019 Osaka, Japan  The G20 (Group of 20) Summit 2019 was held at the International Exhibition Center, Osaka, Japan on June 28-29, 2019. It was the 14th meeting of the G20. The 2018 G20 Summit was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the 2020 G20 Summit will be held in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


G20 Ministerial Meeting Tsukuba city, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan It is one of the eight Ministerial Meetings. Trade and Economy Ministers of the Group of 20 major economies discussed the ways to reorder trade rules and finances in an era of technological change and protectionism.
15th Finance Commission held a meeting Meghalaya 15th Finance Commission headed by the Chairman Shri N.K. Singh held meeting with the representatives of Autonomous Development Councils (ADCs) of Meghalaya as part of its visit to the State. There are 3 ADCs in Meghalaya namely the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council and the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council.
14th OIC summit Mecca, Saudi Arabia 14th Islamic Summit organized by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit was held in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It was hosted by Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. The summit, titled as “Mecca Summit: Together for the Future”, aimed at developing a unified stance on events in the Islamic world.
G20 Finance Ministers meeting and Central Bank Governors meet Fukuoka, Japan G20 Summit, to be held in Osaka, Japan, from 28-29 June 2019, a G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meet was held in Fukuoka, Japan on 8-9 June. It was one of the 8 ministerial meetings taking place in Japan before 2019 G20 summit. This is for the first time that Japan is hosting the G20 Summit & Ministerial Meetings at its eight different locations.
2nd Global Disability Summit Aires,Argentina The 2nd Global Disability Summit was held at Buenos Aires, Argentina from June 6 to June 8, 2019. The objectives of the summit were to deliberate on issues across the world concerning empowerment and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and to work out a mechanism for enabling them to live an independent and dignified life.
Second Edition of World Food India New Delhi Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal announced that World Food India (WFI) 2019, a biennial event, will be held at Vigyan Bhawan and Rajpath Lawns in New Delhi from 1-4 November 2019. It will be the biggest gathering of all global and domestic stakeholders in the Food Processing Sector. This will be the second edition of WFI, first was held in 2017. The tagline of the event will be “Forging Partnerships for Growth”.
G20 Ministerial Meeting on Energy Transitions and Global Environment for Sustainable Growth Karuizawa, Japan

G20 (Group of 20) Ministerial Meeting on Energy Transitions and Global Environment for Sustainable Growth for the year 2019 was held at Karuizawa Prince Hotel (Karuizawa Town, Nagano), Japan on June 15-16, 2019.
3rd Indo-French cyber dialogue Paris, France The third Indo-French cyber dialogue 2019 was held in Paris, France. The meeting was co-chaired by Henri Verdier, French Ambassador for Digital Affairs, and Upender Singh Rawat, Joint Secretary in charge of e-Governance, Information Technology and Cyber Diplomacy at the Ministry of External Affairs.
Meeting of Expert Working Group of Paris Pact Initiative of UNODC New Delhi Meeting of Expert Working Group on Paris Pact Initiative on Illicit Financial Flows deriving from the trafficking of Opiates originating in Afghanistan was organised in New Delhi from June 27-28, 2019. It was hosted by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance with the support of United Nations Office on Drugs & Crimes (UNODC). It was inaugurated by the Additional Secretary, Revenue Mr. Anil Kumar Jha.
16th Ministerial Meeting of the Member States of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Qatar, Doha The meeting is taking place when the world is undergoing complex changes and developments at all political, economic and financial spheres, stressing the need to deepen cooperation among Asian countries to meet the challenges of the future.


France 7 industrialised nations (France, Japan, United States, Canada, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom) meet organised by France.

India will be attending the Group of 7 industrialised nations meet organised by France in Biarritz in August along with Australia, Chile and South Africa, in a sign of the recognition of India’s growing economic heft in the international arena.

Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is organising a meeting of the Regional Heads of Customs Administration of Asia Pacific Region of the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Kochi India is hosting this meeting in its capacity as Vice Chair of the Asia Pacific region that it assumed on 1st July, 2018 for a two-year period.

The meeting will take stock of the progress being made in carrying forward the programmes and initiatives of WCO to promote, facilitate and secure the cross-border trade in the region and the capacity building and technical assistance required to achieve this goal.

UN to hold 2020 ocean conference Portugal’s Lisbon The UNGA “decides to convene the high-level 2020 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development in Lisbon, from June 2 to 6, 2020,” according to a resolution adopted by the 80th plenary meeting of the UNGA 73rd session
Meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of Shanghai Co-operation Organization (SCO). Kyrgyzstan capital Bishkek The meeting will exchange views on issues of international and regional importance. It will also review the preparations for the forthcoming SCO Summit in Bishkek which commences on the 13th of next month.

First edition of Naval Commanders’ Conference of 2019



New Delhi The Hon’ble Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed Naval Commanders Conference on the opening day.

It is the apex forum within the Service for interaction between the Naval Commanders, Chief of the Naval Staff, with the Commanders-in-Chief. They will review operational, material, logistics, HR, training and administrative activities which were undertaken during the previous six months.
 The themes of ‘Functional Reorganization of Indian Navy towards enhancing Operational Efficiency’ and ‘Optimal Manning’ were the core of discussions in this conference.



5th Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Media Summit on Climate Action and Disaster Preparedness Kathmandu, Nepal The aim of this two day summit was to address the key issue of utilizing media’s full potential of accelerating climate action and disaster preparedness and connect different stakeholders to media professionals for collaboration and joint practical projects.
