Amit Shah launched Mukhyamantri Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana in Dehradun, Uttarakhand
- Union Minister Amit Shah, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) launched the Mukhyamantri Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana and computerization of cooperative societies in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
- Under the scheme nutritious fodder or cattle feed (Silage) would be provided in the vacuum pack bags of 25-30 kg to the cattle owners at the rate of Rs 2 per kg on 30% subsidy.
- He also inaugurated computerization of all the 670 Primary Agriculture Credit Society (PACS) committees.

UK approved world’s 1st oral pill to treat COVID-19
- Britain’s health regulators, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have approved the world’s first pill to treat cases of symptomatic COVID-19.
- The antiviral Lagevrio (molnupiravir)has been found to be safe and effective at reducing the risk of hospitalisation and death in people with mild to moderate COVID-19.
- Molnupiravir was originally created to treat flu and could go on to be prescribed twice a day diagnosed with COVID-19

NCLT approved GAIL’s acquisition of 26% stake in OTPC
- The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has approved the acquisition of the 26% stake of bankrupt Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (ILFS) in ONGC Tripura Power Company (OTPC) by GAIL (India) Ltd.
- The 26% stake are acquired from IL&FS Group companies: IL&FS Energy Development Company Ltd (EDCL) and IL&FS Financial Services Ltd (IFIN).
PhonePe launched tokenisation solution named ‘SafeCard’

- PhonePehas launched a tokenization solution named ‘SafeCard’ for online debit and credit card transactions.
- Earlier in September 2021, RBI had made a device-based tokenization framework applicable to Card-on-File Tokenisation (CoFT) services as well i.e., Card-on-File (CoF) means that the Credit/Debit card details are stored by merchants for ease of payment.

- Maharashtra-based, 28-year-old mountaineer Priyanka Mohite was selected by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for the prestigious ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2020’ for outstanding contribution in the field of land adventure.
- She is the 1st Indian woman to climb Mt Annapurna, the 10th highest mountain peak in the world. She scaled the world’s highest peak Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, and Mt. Makalu.
- Priyanka is one among the 7-recipients of ‘Tenzing Norgay National Award 2020’ & will receive the award from President Ram Nath Kovind.

IAF & DRDO successfully conducted flight tests of Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon

- Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Air Force (IAF) have carried out two successful flight tests of indigenously-developed Smart Anti-Airfield Weapon (SAAW).
- The two flight tests have been conducted using 2 different configurations – Satellite Navigation and Electro-optical sensors. An electro-optical seeker based flight test of this class of bomb was conducted for the first time in India.
- The SAAW is capable of carrying a warhead of 125 kilograms (kgs) with a precision target hitting range of 100 kms. The weapon was launched from IAF aircraft at Chandan ranges in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

China launched world’s 1st Earth Science Satellite named “Guangmu”

- China has launched world’s first Earth-science satellite, Guangmu or SDGSAT-1 on November 5, 2021 into space from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the northern Shanxi Province.
- Guangmu was launched by a Long March-6 carrier rocket which is the 395th flight mission. SDGSAT-1 is the first satellite customized according to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which adopted in 2015 with 17 SDGs for peace and prosperity.
- The satellite was launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and developed by the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS).

Alphabet Inc launched “Isomorphic Labs”, an AI- drug discovery start-up

- Google parent company Alphabet has launched a new company in London called Isomorphic Labs. This company will aim to use AI (artificial intelligence) for drug discovery and medicine to find cures for some of humanity’s most devastating diseases in the field of biological and medical research.
- Demis Hassabis will be the CEO of Isomorphic Labs. Hassabis is the CEO and co-founder of DeepMind, another Alphabet subsidiary that used AI to predict the 3D structure of a protein directly from its amino acid sequence.

- India’s woman pistol star Manu Bhaker and Iranian Olympic champion Javad Foroughi has won the 10m air pistol mixed team gold at the inaugural ISSF President’s Cup at the Wroclaw in Poland.
- The Indo-Iranian pair beat the French-Russian duo of Mathilde Lamolle and Artem Chernousov 16-8 to clinch the gold medal.

Renowned Dronacharya Awardee Cricket Coach Tarak Sinha passed away
- Renowned Cricket Coach and Dronacharya Awardee Tarak Sinha passed away due to cancer at the age of 71 in New Delhi.
- He was fondly referred to as “Ustad ji” by his disciples. Tarak Sinha was the founder of the Sonnet Cricket Club, Delhi. He has served as the coach of the Delhi team which won the Ranji title in the 1985-86 season.
- He received the Dronacharya Award (Life Time) for Cricket in 2018.
