First AI City in India is going to build in UP: Lucknow

One of the largest and prosperous states of India,  Uttar Pradesh,  has come up with a new and innovative groundbreaking initiative to build the country’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) city in the capital of the state, Lucknow.

The main objective of the state’s decision to build the country’s first AI City in Lucknow is to promote and foster Artificial intelligence in various fields such as education, Medical, infrastructure and many more to create more opportunities in the scope of Artificial Intelligence.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence is mainly described as the intelligence of softwares and machines as compared to the intelligence of human beings. It is a part of computer science which created machines which can think like humans.

An expression of interest (EoI) has been released by the Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Ltd containing the details, designs and the operations of the project to build the country’s first AI City in Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Ltd is the nodal agency of this project.

Uttar Pradesh is planning to build the first AI City in Lucknow to invite new ideas and incorporate cutting edge technology. The AI City in Lucknow will be the center to conduct research and provide a better space for educational institutions to work on Artificial Intelligence techniques.

Lucknow is also famous for being the host of Centres of excellence especially in the space of Artificial Intelligence and med technologies. This pivotal Centre of Excellence in the field of AI is placed at IIIT Lucknow and currently is supporting around 15 startups dedicated to AI/ML.

The Artificial Intelligence scope in the world:

According to the report of Grand View Research the scope of Artificial Intelligence in the market was worth around $137bn in the years of 2022 and it also stated that the Compound Annual Growth of Artificial Intelligence market is expected at the rate of 37.3% from the period of 2023 to 2030.

More about the first AI City in Lucknow:

The IT and Electronics Department of Uttar Pradesh has notified the potential land areas across the capital Lucknow. There are around 40 acres of land in Nadarganj which is potentially significant and also offers the connectivity between Lucknow and Kanpur by the Lucknow Kanpur highway.
