Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist/ IT/ Chartered Accountant/ Actuarial/ Rajbhasha). LIC AAO Eligibility 2019

Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India

Age Limit: The age of candidate must not be less than 21 years and must not exceed 30 years

Educational Qualification: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from a recognized university or institute.

AAO (IT) Graduation degree in Engineering in Computer Science, IT or Electronics, or an MCA, or an MSC(Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/Institution
AAO (CA) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidate should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
AAO (ACTUARIAL) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more other papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. (Total 6 or more papers) as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st March, 2019
AAO (RAJBHASHA) : Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level
OR
Post Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level

LIC AAO 2019 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has released the much-awaited notification for the post of  Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO). Total Number of vacancies is 590. Candidates should apply through Online mode only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

TOTAL NO.OF VACANCIES: 590 Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Economically Weaker sections and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities shall be as under:

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Age shall be 21 years (completed) as on 01.03.2019. Maximum age shall not be more than 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.03.1989 and not later than 01.03.1998 both days inclusive only are eligible ) Relaxations in upper age limit for Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/Other Backward Community(OBC)/ Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECO) /Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCO) /Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) /Confirmed LIC employees shall be as under

Educational Qualification

LIC AAO 2016 Cutoff

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment to the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist/ IT/ Chartered Accountant/ Actuarial/ Rajbhasha). Candidates should apply through On-line mode only. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

The exams for filling over 700 Assistant Administrative Officers (Generalist) vacancies were held in March 2016 on different dates. These online exams were followed by an interview in May 2016. Therefore, LIC has released the sectional and overall cut-offs for the online test as well as the final cut off evaluated by combining the scores of online test and interview.

  • English Language paper was of qualifying nature, hence the marks obtained in English Language are not included in the total weighted score.

Note: The Cut Off for LIC AAO 2016 was based on the old exam pattern which included one Online Exam followed by the Interview. Hence, it has 2 additional sections of Computer Knowledge & GA & Current Affairs which has now been shifted to Mains. Due to this the Cut Off will differ in the present cycle of LIC AAO 2019.

LIC AAO Salary

An Assistant Administrative Officer gets the basic pay of Rs. 17,240/- He enjoys other perks and remuneration apart from the Basic Pay offered. The total amount/gross salary of an Assistant Administrative Officer thus ranges to Rs. 32,640/- which includes House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance and Dearness Allowance.  Initial Basic Pay of LIC AAO Rs 17,240 per month

 

Annual increment Rs 840 for the next 14 years
Basic Pay after 14 years Rs 29,000

Note- In addition to the Basic Pay, there are other allowances which are calculated as a percentage of the Basic Pay based on the location of posting. The total LIC AAO Salary is the sum of the Basic Pay and these allowances.

LIC AAO Salary: Allowances

City Compensatory Allowance (CCA) This too depends upon the job location and can be 4%, 3% or 0% of the LIC AAO Basic Pay.
House Rent Allowance (HRA) The HRA depends upon the job location. Based on whether the LIC AAOs are posted in metropolitan cities, Metro city9%, Urban Area 7-8%, Small City 6-7% of the LIC AAO Basic Pay.
Dearness Allowance (DA) The DA is revised quarterly based on the Consumer Price Index. This component of LIC AAO Salary forms around 40% of the Basic Pay. Since CPI depends upon inflation rates, the DA can increase or decrease based on that
