MDL Trade Apprentice Salary & Benefits (Stipend)
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the rates prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and prevailing government guidelines. While the exact amount is not specified in the notification, it is competitive and revised periodically.
- Payment Method: The stipend will be credited directly to the apprentice’s savings bank account through the ECS facility every month.
- Bank Account: Candidates must possess a savings bank account with ECS facility in a public or private sector bank.
- PAN Card: It is mandatory for all selected candidates to have a Permanent Account Number (PAN) card. In the absence of a PAN card, income tax will be deducted at a higher rate from the stipend.
- Accommodation: Please note that MDL will not provide any hostel or living accommodation to the apprentices.

MDL Trade Apprentice Selection Process 2025:
Selection Process: Selection for Apprenticeship will be completed in Three Stages, First Stage i.e. Online Examination (Computer based test): – only Eligible Candidates in Group A, B & C will be called for Online Examination (Computer based examination). The Online Examination will consist 100 Number of Multiple Choice questions based on the below mentioned syllabus of Minimum Qualification of respective Groups (i.e. Class 10th Pass for Group A, ITI Pass for Group B & Class 8th Pass for Group C) and Examination will be of 2 Hours duration.

Examination Centre for Online Examination: The Tentative List of online examination centres are as under:

- Candidate should choose the Two of the Centre while applying online, where he/she desires to take the examination. However, MDL reserves the right to cancel any of the examination centre and/or add some other centres, at its discretion, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility etc. MDL also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any centre other than one he/she has opted for.
- No request for change of centre for examination shall be entertained.
- Candidate will appear for the examination at the allotted centre at his/her own risk and expenses and MDL will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature.
- Any unruly behaviour/ misbehaviour in the examination hall may result in cancellation of candidature, disqualification from future exam conducted MDL
Second Stage will be of Document Verification & Trade Allotment: – For this the candidates securing maximum marks (each Group & Category wise) in Online Exam would only be called for Medical Examination & Document Verification, Schedule for Eligible Candidates in Group A, B & C will be declared with the result of online examination.
Third Stage will be Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will be required to be Medically Fit for joining Apprenticeship Training in accordance with medical fitness standard of Apprentices Rules 1992. The procedure for obtaining medical fitness will be informed to shortlisted candidate at the time of result declaration. However, if any candidate is advised for specialist medical opinion i.e. X-ray, Blood Test etc., it will be done at their cost.
