National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has announced the NICL Recruitment 2024 on its official website, http://www.nationalinsurance.nic.co.in. NICL, India’s oldest and leading public sector general insurance company, is recruiting 500 assistants. The online registration for NICL Assistant Recruitment 2024 started on 24 October 2024.

NICL Assistant 2024 educational qualification
- A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidate should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 01.10.2024.
- Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State / UT against the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply, is essential. To ascertain the candidate’s familiarity with the Regional Language of the State / UT, a Regional Language Test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in the Regional Language Test would be disqualified.

NICL Assistant 2024 Selection Procedure
All candidates will have to appear for the online Preliminary & Main examination, thereafter; candidates qualifying the Main examination will be further shortlisted for Regional Language Test.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination (Online):
Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 60 minutes duration consisting of 3 sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:
Candidates will have to qualify in each test/section by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates state-wise and category-wise as decided by the Company (approximately 15 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Phase – II: Main Examination (Online):
Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) for 200 marks. The duration of examination would be of 120 minutes duration (separate time for each test / section or composite time) and will consist of 5 sections as follows
Regional language test
Candidates shortlisted in the online Main Examination will subsequently be called for Regional Language Test to be conducted by the Company, at select centres. The name and address of the Centre, time & date of this test will be informed to the shortlisted candidates on our website. Candidates applying for vacancy under State / UT other than their domiciled State / UT, have to appear and qualify the Regional Language Test in the language of State / UT for which they have applied.
The Regional Language Test will be of qualifying nature only. No Scores will be allotted for the same.
