Seven persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V are sitting in a row facing north watching movies. No two persons can sit together according to alphabetical order (for ex- P can’t sit with Q and Q can’t sit with P & R and so on….). Each of them watching either Raid or Baaghi. All the persons are sitting in ascending order according to the amount paid by them for buying ticket from the left to right. Only two persons sit between S and T and none of them sit at an extreme end. V sit third to the right of Q. R is watching Baaghi and sit at one of the extreme end. Only one person sits between R and P. Only three persons sit between those persons who watch Baaghi. S does not watch Baaghi. The immediate neighbors of all those persons who watch Baaghi are watching Raid.

Direction (6 – 10): Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below:
Seven persons of different parties have voting in different days of a week which starts from Monday and ends on Sunday.
At least three persons have voting after J who is from BJP. Three persons have voting between J and K who has vote just after the person who is from BSP. L has voting just before the person who is from AAP and just after the person who is from Congress. M has voting after the person who is from AAP but not in Saturday. N has voting before the person who is from SP and after the person who is from TDP. Person who is from NCP has voting before O and after P.

Solution

Sol. (1 -5):

R is watching Baaghi and sit at one of the extreme end. Only one person sits between R and P. Only two persons sit between S and T and none of them sit at an extreme end. So, R can sit on either of the ends and there will two possible cases-

No two persons can sit together according to alphabetical order (for ex- P can’t sit with Q and Q can’t sit with P & R and so on….). From this we can say that S can’t sit with R so, T will sit next of R in both cases. Rest V sit third to the right of Q. In case-2 Only one position left for Q is the next position of P but P can’t sit with Q so, case-2 has been eliminated. Now, with case-1 Q will sit at the extreme left end and V sit to the immediate left of P. And rest U sit in between S and Q.

R is watching Baaghi. The immediate neighbours of all those persons who watch Baaghi are watching Raid. So, T is watching Raid. And S does not watch Baaghi. So, S is watching Raid. Only three persons sit between those persons who watch Baaghi. So, only one condition is that Both Q and P are watching Baaghi and their immediate neighbours U and V are watching Raid. All the persons are sitting in ascending order according to the amount paid by them for buying ticket from left to right.

Sol(6 – 10): At least three persons have voting after J who is from BJP. Three persons have voting between J and K who have vote just after the person who is from BSP. Here, we get two possibilities i.e. Case 1 and Case 2.

N have voting before the person who is from SP and after the person who is from TDP. Person is from NCP have voting before O and after P. Here, Case 1 is ruled out.
So, the final arrangement will be: –
