Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must complete their graduate degree in any stream from a recognized university.
- Candidates have at least 1 year of administrative work experience in a government/semi-government/private institution.
Age Limit (1/5/2025)
- Candidates must not exceed 35 years of age.
- Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules and the employees working in Surat Municipal Corporation are exempted from the upper age limit rule.
SMC Clerk Grade 3 Salary:
Appointed Clerk in Surat Municipal Corporation will get a Pay Matrix ranging from Rs. 19900 to Rs 63200 under Grade Pay of Rs. 1900. In addition to this, they will get perks and allowances as per the 7th pay commission.

Surat Municipal Corporation Clerk Selection Process
The selection process for Clerk Grade 3 consists of two stages:
- Written/ Practical examination: Candidates will be assessed on subjects such as General Knowledge, Reasoning, English/Gujarati Language, and Computer Fundamentals.
- Document verification: Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original documents for final verification.
There is no interview stage in this recruitment process.
