• The Manipur government has continuously blamed that those refugees are related to cross border drug trade.
• Even the Manipur government blamed the refugees fleeing Myanmar and the humanitarian policies of Mizoram for being the cause of the ethnic violence between kuki Zo community and Meitei community in Manipur last year.
• The Chief Minister of Manipur also stated that there are around 5457 illegal migrants in Manipur.
• As the consequences of the Manipur Government action on illegal migrants and poppy cultivation, Manipur has faced severe cruelty and loss.
• The approach of the government needs to be changed in order to treat the Conflict otherwise the situation will remain the same.
