• Senior ministerial personnel from the P-5 or the major G-7 or BRICS-10 countries couldn’t attend the Raisina Dialogue due to the G 20 foreign Ministers meeting in Brazil.
• However the presence of a large ministerial contingent from Central and Eastern Europe, especially all Ministers of the Baltic-Nordic forum, made it able to pave the way for new diplomatic outreach for India in the aspect of trade agreements and important future investment ties with the several economically competitive parts of Europe.
• The major focused areas of the Raisina Dialogue were global conflicts such as the Russia Ukraine war and a strong need of Naval strategy to combat any threats from aggressive China.
• Unfortunately due to the absence of China and Russia in the Raisina Dialogue,these Conversations couldn’t be balanced.
• There was also noted absence from some prominent parts of the world in the Raisina Dialogue such as South East Asia, Latin America, and even South Asia (excepting Nepal and Bhutan); a minimal presence could be found in the Dialogue.
• Lack of non-governmental civil society organizations in the Dialogue made it difficult to discuss the wide and broad view of the challenges that democracy faces around the world.
• Such absence from a major part of the world not only affected the diversity in the conversations but also affected the view of the external affairs Minister that Raisina Dialogue has become ‘made in India’.
