  1. Posterity (noun)

Meaning: all future generations of people. (भावी पीढ़ी)

Synonyms: future generations, succeeding generations

Sentence: Few of his works will go down to posterity.

  1. Gossamer (adj.)

Meaning: very thin and easy to see through (पतला)

Synonyms: sheer, transparent, diaphanous

Antonyms: opaque, nebulous, hazy

Sentence: Didn’t see the gossamer spider webs until the sun hit them just right.

  1. Fugacious (adj.)

Meaning: lasting only for a short time (क्षणिक)

Synonyms: temporary, fleeting, brief

Antonyms: permanent, eternal, lasting

Sentence: She was acutely conscious of her fugacious youth.

  1. Rendition (noun)

Meaning: a presentation of an artistic work (as a piece of music) from a particular point of view (प्रतिपादन)

Synonyms: performance, presentation, interpretation

Sentence: She gave a splendid rendition of the song.

  1. Taciturn (adj.)

Meaning: (of a person) reserved or uncommunicative in speech; saying little. (अल्पभाषी)

Synonyms: untalkative, uncommunicative, reticent

Antonyms: loquacious, garrulous, outspoken

Sentence: He was a quiet, almost taciturn, young man.

  1. Adversary (adj.)

Meaning: one’s opponent in a contest, conflict, or dispute. (वैरी)

Synonyms: opponent, rival, hostile

Antonyms: sympathetic, friendly, civil

Sentence: The British considered him a worthy adversary.

  1. Numinous (adj.)

Meaning: having a strong religious or spiritual quality; indicating or suggesting the presence of a divinity. (दिव्य)

Synonyms: spiritual, religious, divine

Antonyms: ordinary, normal, usual

Sentence: The strange, numinous beauty of this ancient landmark.

  1. Jest (noun)

Meaning: a thing said or done for amusement; a joke. (मज़ाक)

Synonyms: joke, witticism, laugh

Sentence: You should know that our teasing was done entirely in jest.

  1. Ideate (verb)

Meaning: form an idea of; imagine or conceive. (विचार बनाना)

Synonyms: imagine, envision, visualize

Sentence: He is part of a team that ideates branding strategies.

  1. Exorbitant (adj.)

Meaning: going beyond a normal or acceptable limit in degree or amount (अत्यधिक)

Synonyms: excessive, extreme, steep

Antonyms: reasonable, modest, moderate

Sentence: The price of food here is exorbitant.
