  1. Peeved (adj.)

Meaning: aroused to impatience or anger (चिढ़ा हुआ)

Synonyms: irritated, annoyed, bothered

Antonyms: pleased, happy, satisfied

Sentence: He looks very peeved about something.

  1. Splay (verb)

Meaning: to cause to move outward and apart (फैलाना)

Synonyms: spread, split, scatter

Antonyms: unite, join

Sentence: The petals splay out from the middle of the flower.

  1. Flaunt (verb)

Meaning: display (something) ostentatiously, especially in order to provoke envy or admiration or to show defiance. (इठलाना)

Synonyms: show off, display, unveil

Antonyms: disguise, camouflage

Sentence: The banquet gave the chef a chance to flaunt his talents.

  1. Reverie (noun)

Meaning: a state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts; a daydream. (भावना)

Synonyms: daydreaming, trance, fantasy

Sentence: She fell into a reverie about her childhood.

  1. Vogue (noun)

Meaning: the prevailing fashion or style at a particular time. (प्रचलन)

Synonyms: fashion, popular, trend

Antonyms: unpopular, standard

Sentence: His novels had a great vogue ten years ago.

  1. Lackey (noun)

Meaning: a person hired to perform household or personal services (नौकर)

Synonyms: servant, flunkey, steward

Antonyms: master, head, chief

Sentence: We sent the lackey out to get doughnuts for the office.

  1. Mangle (verb)

Meaning: severely mutilate, disfigure, or damage by cutting, tearing, or crushing. (नष्ट करना)

Synonyms: disfigure, damage, mutilate

Antonyms: improve, better, help

Sentence: The car was mangled almost beyond recognition.

  1. Smorgasbord (noun)

Meaning: an unorganized collection or mixture of various things (संग्रह)

Synonyms: variety, collage, clutter

Sentence: Every day the director has to first deal with a smorgasbord of problems before he can begin filming.

  1. Ingratiate (verb)

Meaning: bring oneself into favor with someone by flattering or trying to please them. (तुष्ट करना)

Synonyms: appease, comfort, console

Antonyms: annoy, irritate

Sentence: She has tried to ingratiate herself with voters by promising a tax cut.

  1. Pruning (verb)

Meaning: to make (something) shorter or smaller with the use of a cutting instrument (छंटाई)

Synonyms: trimming, cutting, clipping

Antonyms: lengthening, extending, elongating

Sentence: He pruned the dead branches from the old apple tree.
