  1. Rankle (verb)

Meaning: To be excited or emotionally stirred up with anger (भड़कना)

Synonyms: infuriate, anger, enrage

Antonyms: please, relieve, delight

Sentence: That kind of rude treatment from a young person makes me rankle

  1. Perish (verb)

Meaning: to stop living (मर जाना)

Synonyms: die, disappear, expire

Antonyms: live, exist, revive

  1. Onset (noun)

Meaning: The point at which something begins (आरंभ)

Synonyms: beginning, start, alpha

Antonyms: end, conclusion, ending

  1. Strand (noun)

Meaning: the usually sandy or gravelly land bordering a body of water (किनारा)

Synonyms: shoreline, shore, coastline

Sentence: The wishful dream of living a lazy, idyllic existence on some far-off strand.

  1. Rig (verb)

Meaning: to provide (someone) with what is needed for a task or activity (सामान)

Synonyms: equip, supply, kit

Antonyms: strip, deprive, divest

Sentence: Carefully rigged each diver with the required equipment before starting out

  1. Presume (verb)

Meaning: to form an opinion from little or no evidence (अनुमान)

Synonyms: assume, guess, suppose

Antonyms: prove, establish, determine

Sentence: I presume you’ll fly if you do go

  1. Breakneck (adj.)

Meaning: Moving, proceeding, or acting with great speed (तेज गति)

Synonyms: vigorous, dizzy, dangerous

Antonyms: slow, sluggish, unhurried

Sentence: He drove us to the hospital at breakneck speed.

  1. Swanky (noun)

Meaning: Excessive or unnecessary display (दिखावा)

Synonyms: pretense, extravaganza, garishness

Antonyms: restraint, elegance, modesty

Sentence: The leading lorry was a large and swanky affair.

  1. Visceral (adj.)

Meaning: Arising from deeply felt feelings and responses as opposed to conscious intellect (आंतरिक)

Synonyms: simple, unconscious, deep

Antonyms: conscious, deliberate, thoughtful

Sentence: He had a visceral reaction to the sight of blood.

  1. Avow (verb)

Meaning: to state as a fact usually forcefully (घोषित करना)

Synonyms: claim, declare, confirm

Antonyms: deny, question, abandon

Sentence: She avowed herself a singer.
