The price of petrol will be Rs.15 per liter in India

Union minister Nitin Gadkari announced an innovative proposal to cut down the price of petrol to ₹ 15 per liter. During a rally in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh, Mr Gadkari shared his vision of empowering farmers across the country to become “urjadaata” (energy providers). As we know the current price of petrol in India is around 95 to 105 rupees in different cities.

Mr. Gadkari has announced his idea after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 11 national highway projects totaling ₹ 5,600 crore in Pratapgarh. Four national highway projects with a total length of 219 km and cost of ₹ 3,775 crore had also been inaugurated.

How it is possible?

Union Minister described over the price of petrol reduction that if India take a blend of 60% ethanol and 40% electricity then people of India will availed petrol at the price of Rs.15 per liter. During his address, the minister has underlined on the advantages of utilising a blend of ethanol and electricity.

The Indian government has set its mindset about the farmers for turning them into urjadata (provider of energy) and not delimits them to annadata. All the vehicles are set to be run on ethanol produced by farmers.

Benefit of using mixture:

Union Minister also highlighted that a mixture will reduce pollution and imports.

Even the mixture can divert the massive import expenditure of ₹ 16 lakh crore towards the farmers’ households.

Data of importing oil:

• India imports its required consumption of oil from the Middle East countries like Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
• Russia is also the big exporter of oil for India.
• India also imports oil from USA, UAE and Nigeria.
• India is expected to cross the $100 billion oil imports in the current fiscal.
• India is heavily dependent from other countries for reaching its oil consumption demand.
