49th International Emmy Awards 2021: Complete List of Winners
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the winners of the 49th International Emmy Awards (2021) at the Great Hall of Casa Cipriani in New York City, United States of America.
The award recognised excellence in television programs produced and aired originally outside the U.S., and non-English language US primetime programs between the dates of January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020.
The International Emmy Awards 2021 was hosted by actress and comedian Yvonne Orji.
The 49th International Emmy® Awards honoured 11 programs and performances from across 8 countries – France, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, PR China, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the USA.
- 1 Special Award (Directorate Award 2021) and 11 Emmy statues were presented during the event.
- Dr Thomas Bellut, Director General of German public broadcaster ZDF, one of Europe’s major and most renowned broadcasters has been honoured with theInternational Emmy® Directorate Award 2021.

- The Israeli thriller “Tehran”produced by the Kan public broadcaster has won the International Emmy Award 2021 for Drama Series.
- Hayley Squires (UK) won the International Emmy award 2021 for Best Performance by an Actress for her role as British porn star Jolene Dollar in Adult Material.
- David Tennantwon the Best Performance by an Actor for portraying serial killer Dennis Nilsen in
India’s nominees in Emmy:
- Nawazuddin Siddiquiin Serious Men was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor.
- Vir Das: For Indiawas nominated for Comedy and Aarya television series on Disney+ Hotstar starring Sushmita Sen was nominated for Drama Series.
Delhi Crime directed by Richie Mehta won the International Emmy Award 2020 for Best Drama Series and became the first-ever Indian series to win this award.
