BSSC Laboratory Assistant Selection Process 2025:
The selection process involves the following stages:
- Preliminary Examination (if applicable): If the number of applications exceeds 40,000, a preliminary objective-type exam will be conducted. The exam pattern includes:
- General Studies: 35 questions
- Science: 75 questions
- Quantitative Aptitude / Mental Ability (Reasoning): 40 questions
- Total Questions: 150
- Marking Scheme: +4 for each correct answer, -1 for each incorrect answer.
- Duration: 2 hours.
- Medium: Hindi/English (English version prevails in case of discrepancy).
- Syllabus: Covers General Awareness (current events, India & neighboring countries, Bihar specific knowledge), Science (Intermediate 10+2 level), Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning.
- Main Examination: Candidates qualifying the preliminary exam (5 times the number of vacancies) will be called for the Main Examination. A separate notification will be issued for the Main Exam.
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted after the Main Exam will undergo document verification. Original certificates related to eligibility, reservation, etc., must be produced.
BSSC Laboratory Assistant Salary & Benefits 2025:
Selected candidates for the Laboratory Assistant post will be placed in Pay Level-4 (₹ 25,500/- to ₹ 81,100/- P.M.) as per the governmental pay scale structure. In addition to the basic pay, employees will be entitled to various allowances and benefits as per Bihar Government norms, contributing to a competitive overall compensation package.
