Eligibility varies by post. Below are the general criteria.
CSIR-CMERI Age Limit 2025
The maximum age limit is generally 35 years, relaxable up to 40 years for Senior Project Associate and as per government rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
CSIR-CMERI Educational Qualification 2025
- For Project Assistant-II: 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or B.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics.
- For Project Associate-I: B.E./B.Tech in relevant field or M.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics.
- For JRF: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc. with NET/GATE qualification.
- For Senior Positions: M.E./M.Tech or Ph.D. with relevant experience.
CSIR-CMERI Salary 2025:
The monthly remuneration varies by post and qualifications. Key salary levels are:
- Project Assistant-II: Rs. 20,000/-
- Project Associate-I: Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 31,000/-
- Project Associate-II: Rs. 28,000/- to Rs. 35,000/-
- Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000/-
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000/-
CSIR CMERI Selection Process 2025: Direct Interview Details
The selection of candidates will be done purely through a Walk-in-Interview. There is no written examination. The process will involve:
- Document Verification: Candidates’ original documents will be verified at the reporting time.
- Personal Interview: A selection committee will interview the eligible candidates to assess their technical knowledge, skills, and suitability for the role.
The selection process may continue until late evening or the next day, so candidates are advised to come prepared.
