Coast Guard Yantrik Navik Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria & Vacancies Details:

Yantrik (Electronics) – CGEPT-01/26 batch 19 Class 10th passed and Diploma in relevant discipline or 10th & 12th passed and Diploma in relevant discipline 18-22 years
Navik (General Duty) – CGEPT-02/26 batch 260 Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics 18-22 years
Navik (Domestic Branch) – CGEPT-02/26 batch 50 Class 10th passed 18-22 years

Indian Coast Guard Navik and Yantrik 2025 Age Limit:

Age. Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years. The relevant dates are provided below:-

(a) Nvk(GD) for 01/26 & 02/26 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Aug 2004 to 01 Aug 2008.
(b) Yantrik for 01/26 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Mar 2004 to 01 Mar 2008.
(c) Nvk(DB) for 02/26 batch Candidate should be born between 01 Aug 2004 to 01 Aug 2008.

Note:- Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable if, posts are reserved for them.

Pay Scale

  • Navik (General Duty & Domestic Branch): Basic Pay of ₹21,700/- (Pay Level-3) plus Dearness Allowance and other allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting.
  • Yantrik: Basic Pay of ₹29,200/- (Pay Level-5). In addition, a Yantrik Pay of ₹6,200/- will be provided, along with Dearness Allowance and other allowances.

Promotion and Perquisites

  • Promotion: Excellent promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Pradhan Adhikari / Pradhan Shayak Engineer with a pay scale of ₹47,600/- (Pay Level 8).
  • Other Benefits:
    • Free ration and clothing.
    • Free medical treatment for self and family, including dependent parents.
    • Government accommodation or House Rent Allowance (HRA).
    • 45 days of Earned Leave and 8 days of Casual Leave every year.

Indian Coast Guard Selection Process 2025:

The selection process is a multi-stage procedure designed to select the most capable candidates. Qualification in all stages is mandatory.

Stage-I: Computer Based Examination (CBE)

This is an online objective-type examination. The test structure varies by post:

  • Navik (DB): Section I
  • Navik (GD): Section I + II
  • Yantrik (Electrical): Section I + III
  • Yantrik (Electronics): Section I + IV
  • Yantrik (Mechanical): Section I + V Note: Passing each section separately is compulsory. There is no negative marking.

Stage-II: Qualifying Stage

Candidates shortlisted from Stage-I will undergo Stage-II, which includes:

  • Assessment Test: An OMR-based test which is qualifying in nature.
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
    • 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes.
    • 20 Squat ups (Uthak Baithak).
    • 10 Push-ups. (All three tests are to be carried out in continuity without any break.)
  • Document Verification: All original documents will be verified against the information provided in the application form.
  • Recruitment Medical Examination: A medical examination will be conducted to assess fitness as per the prescribed standards.

Stage-III: Final Selection at INS Chilka

Candidates who clear Stage-II and stand in the merit list will be called for Stage-III at INS Chilka. This stage involves:

  • Final Document Verification.
  • Pre-Enrolment Medicals.
  • Submission of original documents, police verification, and other forms.

Stage-IV: Post-Training Verification

All submitted documents will be verified by the respective boards/universities after the candidates join for training. Any document found to be non-genuine will lead to termination from service.
