Exp.The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)  has decided to translate and publish an anthology of the writings of Guru Nanak Devji in world languages to mark his 550th birth anniversary. To mark this event, the Indian government is also holding a series of events and has initiated many projects which includes- Construction of Kartarpur Corridor from Deva Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district in Punjab to the international border, the development of the historic town of Sultanpur Lodhi as heritage village, the up-gradation of Sultanpur Lodhi Railway Station and release of commemorative coins and postal stamps.

Exp.The International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer is observed every year on 16th of September  to commemorate the date of the signing of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer in 1987. The 2019 theme ‘32 Years and Healing’ celebrated over 3 decades of remarkable international cooperation to protect the ozone layer and the climate under the Montreal Protocol. It reminds us that we must keep up the momentum to ensure healthy people and a healthy planet.

Exp.The Kerala government and the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) have jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maldives (GoM) to strengthen cancer care in the island nation.
