UIDAI topped Grievance Redressal Index in August 2022

  • The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has topped among all Ministries and Departments in resolving Public Grievances for the month of August 2022.
  • UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has been a top performer in the resolution of cases received through the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS).
  • UIDAI has a robust grievance redressal mechanism in place comprising of UIDAI HQ Divisions, Regional Offices, Technology Centre, and engaged Contact Centre partners, which is enabling UIDAI to resolve around 92% of CRM Grievances within 7 days.

India’s first LNG-fuelled green truck launched by Blue Energy Motors

  • Blue Energy Motors has unveiled India’s first LNG-fuelled green truck by launching a manufacturing plant at Chakan, Pune.
  • The facility was inaugurated by the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
  • Blue Energy Motors’ trucks will be Liquified Natural Gas-fuelled, long-haul, heavy-duty trucks.

India & UAE signed an MoU to establish Cultural Council Forum

  • India and UAE signed an MoU to establish the Cultural Council Forum to deepen the partnership between the two countries.
  • This will be facilitated by the International Cooperation of UAE and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
  • It was signed during the 14th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting in Abu Dhabi.
  • The meeting was co-chaired by EAM S Jaishankar and his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdulla bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

India’s first Night Sky Sanctuary to be set up in Ladakh

  • Bengaluru-based Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) will establish a first-of-its-kind in India ‘Dark Sky Reserve’ in Ladakh.
  • Under the project, a first-ever ‘Night Sky Sanctuary’ will also be built in Hanle, Ladakh as part of the Changthang Wildlife Sanctuary.
  • The sanctuary will be one of the highest-located sites in the world for optical, gamma rays, and infrared telescopes.

  • He was 54.
