The ‘A-HELP’ programme aims to empower women by engaging them as trained agents who contribute significantly to disease control, artificial insemination under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (RGM), animal tagging, and livestock insurance.
This endeavour serves as an exemplary integration of women’s power, fostering socio-economic progress in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
It was launched under the Pashudhan Jagrati Abhiyaan.

India’s retail inflation surged to 7.44 percent in July on an annual basis as against 4.81 percent in June, showed data released by the Ministry of statistics.
It is the highest reading since May 2022 when the inflation rate stood at 7.79 percent. The consumer food price index (CFPI) rose to 11.51 percent from 4.49 percent in June. Rural inflation stood at 7.63 percent while urban inflation stood at 7.20 percent.
The consumer-price index (CPI) based inflation breached the upper limit of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) tolerance band of 2-6 percent after staying within for four consecutive months.
The inflation rate for vegetables witnessed a sharp increase and rose to 37.34 percent against a contraction of 0.93 percent y-o-y. The inflation levels for food & beverage surged to 10.57 percent from 4.63 percent. For cereals, the inflation rate increased to 13.04 percent from 12.71 percent in June.
In its August Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, the RBI raised its inflation forecast for the current fiscal to 5.4 percent from 5.1 per cent forecast in June policy.

The President has also approved 30 mention-in-despatches to the army, including to Army dog Madhu (posthumous), and one to Air Force personnel for their significant contributions in different military operations.
The operations include Operation Rakshak, Operation Snow Leopard, Operation Casualty Evacuation, Operation Mount Chomo, Operation Pangsau Pass, Operation Meghdoot, Operation Orchid, Operation Kalisham Valley, Rescue Operation and Operation Evacuation.
President Murmu also approved one President’s Tatrakshak Medal (PTM) and five Tatrakshak Medals (TM) to the Indian Coast Guard personnel for their act of conspicuous gallantry, exceptional devotion to duty and distinguished/meritorious service on the occasion of Independence Day 2023.
