The second edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS) will be held between December 17 to 30, 2023 and is part of the government’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Yuva Sangam programme.’
The overarching objective of this people-to-people connect programme is to revive the living bonds between Kashi and Tamil Nadu – two important centres of learning and culture in ancient India.
It aims to bring these two traditions of knowledge and culture closer together while building an understanding of shared heritage and strengthening ties between the people of these two regions.
The Kashi Tamil Sangamam is expected to witness the participation of 1,400 dignitaries from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The first edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam was held from November 16 to December 16, 2022.

The Government of India and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a $250 million policy-based loan that will continue support to industrial corridor development to make manufacturing more competitive, strengthen national supply chains and links with regional and global value chains, and create more and better jobs.
This loan builds on the $250 million Subprogramme 1 loan approved by ADB in October 2021 that helped strengthen policy frameworks for the Government of India’s National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP) and develop 11 industrial corridors.
ADB’s continued support to the effective implementation of the NICDP the government launched in 2016 and updated in 2020 to strengthen the planning and management of designated industrial economic clusters to attract private infrastructure and manufacturing investments.
The loan for the Subprogramme 2 will help in the integration of industrial corridors with transport, logistics, and urban facilities under the government’s Prime Minister Gati Shakti platform.
It will promote gender equality in manufacturing and corridor development, as well as conduct training and upskilling of workers in industrial corridors.

Exp. ICRA revises India’s FY24 GDP growth projection to 6.5% from 6.2%
ICRA has revised its forecast for India’s FY2024 GDP growth to 6.5 percent from 6.2 percent.
Despite the upward revision, ICRA’s GDP growth projection remains lower than the monetary policy committee’s revised forecast of 7 percent for FY24.
The credit rating agency said that global commodity prices have remained benign in the ongoing quarter, with the Bloomberg Commodity Index trending 10.2 per cent lower than the year-ago levels in Q3 (October-December) FY24 (till December 15), similar to the extent of deflation seen in Q2 (July-September) FY24.
