Exp. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi appointed Deputy Leader Of House In Rajya Sabha

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi was on Monday appointed the Deputy Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha.

Mr Naqvi succeeds Piyush Goyal, who has been appointed as the Leader of House. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi also appointed Union Minister of Minority Affairs.

Exp. India’s first pod taxi to operate between Noida Airport and Film City

Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Ltd (IPRCL) has prepared a Detailed Project Report or DPR for the pod taxi service between Noida Airport at Jewar and Film City. There are plans to run a driverless taxi between the two destinations.

This will cost about Rs 862 crore, according to the detailed project report (DPR) submitted to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida). This is a 14 km stretch. This will be India’s first pod taxi service.

Exp. Singapore unveils one of the world’s biggest floating solar panel farms

Singapore unveiled one of the world’s largest floating solar panel farms, spanning an area equivalent to 45 football fields and producing enough electricity to power the island’s five water treatment plants.

The project is part of efforts by the land-scarce Southeast Asian city-state to meet a goal of quadrupling its solar energy production by 2025 to help tackle climate change. The solar farm could help to reduce carbon emissions by about 32 kilotonnes annually.

The Federal Bank has launched “FEDDY”, an Artificial Intelligence-powered virtual assistant to help customers with banking-related queries anytime.

FEDDY can be accessed via Alexa, Google Assistant and WhatsApp. It is integrated into Google Business Messaging, a first-of-its-kind by an Indian bank. Federal 24×7, which makes possible the opening of accounts through a video call to the bank.

Exp. FDI limit in NPS fund managers hiked to 74% from 49%

The government notified a hike in the foreign direct investment limit in pension fund management to 74% from 49% under the national pension system (NPS).

This step is opening doors for experienced foreign partners in this space and facilitating more competition in the fledgling segment. Pension Fund Regulatory &Development Authority (PFRDA) Act links the FDI ceiling in the insurance sector.
