Exp. G20 International Financial Architecture Working Group begins in Chandigarh
The first G20 International Financial Architecture Working Group meeting under the G20 Indian Presidency is being organized in Chandigarh from 30th to 31st January 2023.
The meeting was inaugurated by Union agriculture minister, Narendra Singh Tomar, and food processing industries minister, Pashupati Kumar Paras.
The discussions during the two-day meeting will be jointly steered by the Ministry of Finance and the Reserve Bank of India along with France and Korea who are the co-chairs of the International Financial Architecture Working Group.
The International Financial Architecture Working Group is one of the important workstreams under the G20 Finance Track with a focus on strengthening international financial architecture. It also aims to address multiple challenges faced by vulnerable countries.
During the course of India’s G20 Presidency, this Working Group will meet again in March, June, and September to continue discussions on the priorities set under the Indian Presidency.

India’s G-20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant has inaugurated India’s first Model G-20 Summit organized by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini’s Indian Institute of Democratic Leadership.
The two-day model G-20 summit has been organized at the Uttan campus of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini near Mumbai to celebrate India’s chairmanship and to take the idea of G-20 to the youth.
Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President of ICCR and Vice Chairman of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini chaired the inaugural ceremony.
During this two-day conference, students will get into the role of G-20 member countries and discuss various political and social issues in four committees or tracks, namely Leader Track, Sherpa Track, Civil-20, and Business-20.
A total of 150 youth from across the country will participate in the program and will play the role of delegates representing G-20 countries.
The best two delegates will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released a special day cover and a commemorative specially minted coin of Rs 75 denomination on the occasion of 75 successful years of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
The NCC rally was held on the occasion of the commemoration of 75 years at the Cariappa Ground in Delhi. 196 officers and cadets from 19 foreign countries also participated in the rally.
The NCC was formed in 1948 on the recommendation of H N Kunzru Committee-1946 under National Cadet Corps Act, 1948.

For the first time water sports namely Kayaking Canoeing, Canoe Salaam and Fencing will be part of this edition of Khelo India Games.
It will be organized in eight different cities of the state. The eight host cities designated are Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Maheshwar, Mandla and Balaghat.
More than 8500 athletes and sportspersons are expected to participate in this sporting event.
The 4th Khelo India Youth Games was held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula (Haryana) from 4 to 13 June 2022 while some matches were also played in Chandigarh.
