Cabinet grants approval to PM janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan( PM JANMAN)
- Prime Mr Shri Narendra Modi the chairperson of union cabinet has approved Pradhan Mantri Janjati Aadivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan(PM JANMAN) with the approx outlay of Rs.24,104 crore.This Abhiyan was announced on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas from Khunti.
- To enhance the socio economic conditions of the particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTG) as announced in the budget session 2023-24 , the development mission of Pradhan Mantri PVTG will be launched.
- It will help in enhancing the basic facilities like sanitation, cleanliness,safe drinking water ,health and nutrition, improving education , telecom and read connectivity, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Center government is going to spend 11.80 lakh crore in next five years under PMGKY.

- Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the chairperson of the union cabinet, on Wednesday has approved that the eligible citizens under the public distribution scheme will get free grains by the Central Government for another 5 years.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself mentioned the center’s intention to extend the PM Garib Kalyan Yojana, during his election release earlier this month.
- The PM said the center will extend the decision of granting free ration for another five years. This statement was given by the PM during his election rally in Durg, Chhattisgarh on November 4.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Fast Track Special Courts gets extension till 31st March 2026.
- The Union Cabinet approved to keep the Fast Track Special Courts going from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2026. This will cost Rs 1952.23 crore, with Rs 1207.24 crore from the central government and Rs 744.99 crore from the state government. The central government’s part will be covered by the Nirbhaya Fund.
There are some expected results of the FTSC scheme which are given below:
- Ending of sexual and gender based violence
- Reduce the case loads
- Rape and POCSO act’s pendency will be reduced
- Through better facilities and speedy trials victims of sexual crimes will get justice fast.
- The Central Government will encourage the states to set up these FTSC courts to get speedy disposal of the case.
Cabinet grants approval to the Central Sector Scheme to provide drones to Women self help groups.
- To grant drones to women self groups a central center scheme has been approved by the union government with an outlay of Rs.1261 crore.
- This decision was taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under the meeting of the union cabinet. The plan wants to provide 15,000 chosen groups of women drones from 2023 to 2026.
- These drones will be used to rent out services to farmers for farming needs, according to an official statement.
MoWCD has launched the Anganwadi Protocol for Divyang Children.
- Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs has launched the Anganwadi Protocol for Divyang Children at a national outreach Programme organized on 28th November, 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan.
- She mentioned that the Divyang protocol will help each district administration in supporting the special education and nutrition needs.
- They will give Swavlamban Cards to empower divyang children and their families.
- The progress of the children will be monitored using the Poshan tracker, and this data will aid coordination between ministries like MoHFW, DoSEL, DePwD.

Merriam Webster announced ‘Authentic’ is the word of 2023.
- The Word of the Year for 2023, according to Merriam-Webster, is “authentic.” This word is used a lot in what we think, write, aim and judge.
- In 2023, more people looked up this word than usual. It happened because of discussions about AI, celebrities, identity, and social media.
- “Authentic” means not false or fake, similar to being real or actual. It can also mean staying true to your own personality and character. Even though being authentic is a good thing, it’s challenging to clearly define.

Andry Rajoelina is again elected as the president of Madagascar.

- Madagascar’s current President, Andry Rajoelina, won the presidential election by getting over 50% of the votes, according to initial results from the country’s Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI).
- Rajoelina received a total of 2,856,090 votes, which is 58.95% of the total votes, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
- The CENI announced that because he got more than 50% in the first round, the current president is the winner of the presidential election.

Banking and Finance
SBI MF is going to buy a 9.9% stake in Karur Vysya Bank.
- SBI Mutual Fund got permission from the RBI to buy up to a 9.99% share in Karur Vysya Bank Ltd.
- The approval was given based on SBI Mutual Fund’s request to the Reserve Bank of India. The bank mentioned in a filing that the approval will be canceled if SBI MF doesn’t acquire a significant share within a year from the date of the letter.
- SBI Mutual Fund can’t own more than 9.99% of the bank’s shares altogether. If their ownership goes below 5%, they need approval from the RBI to increase it to 5% for more of the shares.
