Delhi international airport among cleanest in Asia-Pacific: ACI

 

  • According to the Airport Council International (ACI), Delhi International Airport has been ranked among the cleanest airports in Asia-Pacific.
  • The airport service quality award is based on passenger surveys carried out to rate customer satisfaction on the day of travel.
  • The surveys cover over 30 performance indicators across key elements of a passenger’s airport experience such as ease of finding your way, check-in, shopping, and dining offerings.
  • According to ACI, 144 awards have been won by 75 airports globally based on over 465,000 surveys collected in 2022.

Uttarakhand to launch self-employment scheme for single women

  • Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhamihas announced the launch of Mukhyamantri Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana in the state at the end of Women Empowerment and Safety Week.
  • Women in remote villages of the state are giving impetus to the rural economy through self-help groups.
  • Dhami also highlighted legislation passed by his government to grant 30 percent reservation in public services to women domiciled in Uttarakhand.

  • Red Bull’s driver, Max Verstappen has won the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix 2023, held at Bahrain International Circuit.

  • Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin’s driver) placed third followed by C. Sainz Jr. (Ferrari’s driver).
