Implementation Timeline

  • Launch Date: The eCoO 2.0 system was officially launched on December 21, 2024.
  • Mandatory Filing: Exporters are required to file Preferential Certificates of Origin through the new eCoO 2.0 system starting from January 17, 2025.

Transition from Legacy System

  • Data Migration: All historical data, including non-preferential and preferential Certificates of Origin, as well as e-wallet balances, will be migrated to the new platform after the successful stabilization of the preferential CoO workflow.
  • Processing of Existing Applications: Applications submitted before December 20, 2024, will continue to be processed through the existing eCoO 1.0 system.

Registration and Access

  • Exporter Accounts: Exporters can use their existing credentials from the DGFT website to access the eCoO 2.0 platform. Those not yet registered must do so to file new applications after December 21, 2024.
  • Issuing Agencies: Authorized issuing agencies are required to register on the new system and ensure accurate data management.

  • User Guides and FAQs: Comprehensive resources, including user guides and FAQs, are available on the eCoO 2.0 website to assist exporters in navigating the new system.
  • Helpdesk Support: A dedicated CoO Helpdesk is available to address any queries or technical issues exporters may encounter during the transition.
