For RRBs Exam 99.26% Candidates Allotted Centres Of Their Choice: IBPS

Many of the candidates were worried about the arrangements of traveling and accommodations on such short notice. They were asking IBPS about the trouble they would face on reaching the allotted center, on which IBPS has replied the following:

• IBPS has notified on the RRB PO prelims exam that 99.26% candidates who have applied for the RRB exam have been allotted exam centres of their first choice.
  Aspirants are generally requested to give choices of their exam centres while filling the form.
• IBPS allots the candidates an exam centre from the cities chosen by them.
• In many cases, centres at far away places are allotted to candidates because of the non-availability of centres in the preferred cities.
• IBPS has announced for the RRB PO prelims that allotment of centres away from candidate’s preferred cities have been done for only 0.74% of the total candidates.

What happened before

• IBPS RRB PO exam will be held on September 12 & 13. The Prelims online exam of RRB office assistant (clerk) is scheduled for 19, 20 & 26 September.
  Earlier on September 7, the IBPS declared that the prelims exam for PO (Officers) &Clerk (Office Assistant) post in Regional Rural Banks has been postponed. This statement was made only 5 days before the exam date.
• On September 8, only a day after this notification, IBPS has released another notification stating the withdrawal of the notice released on September 7 and declared that the RRB exams will be held on the predetermined dates.
• The previous tentative exam schedule was released on August 10, after being rescheduled once.
• Prior to this notification, IBPS had at first planned the exam in August, but later rescheduled it in September.
