Team Ambitiousbaba are here with a Current Affairs Special Series. In this series, candidates will be introduced to current affairs topics daily, which will not only improve their general awareness but also will ensure that the candidates do not lack in any current affairs topic. Today’s Current Affairs topic is “Google tributes Satyendra Nath Bose with Google doodle

Google pays tribute to Indian physicist and mathematician Satyendra Nath Bose by creating a wonderful doodle for his contribution to the Bose-Einstein Condensate. Indian mathematician Satyendra Nath Bose posted his quantum formulations on this day to Albert Einstein who immediately distinguished it as a significant discovery in quantum mechanics.

Satyendra Nath Bose:

Satyendra Nath Bose was born on January 1, 1894 in Kolkata. He was very well known mathematician and physicist. He is always remembering for his work on quantum mechanics in the early 1920s.

He was awarded in 1954 with India’s second highest civilian award ‘Padma Vibhushan’ by the Government of India.

He gave his service as an adviser to the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. He was selected later as a Fellow of the Royal Society.

Satyendra Nath Bose was a polymath due to his interest in many fields like physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, mineralogy, philosophy, arts, literature, and music.

He gave his knowledge and experience on many research and development committees in sovereign India.

Background and Education:

His father was an accountant and often gave an arithmetic problem to his son Satyendra Nath Bose which boosted Bose’s interest in mathematics.

Bose started pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Calcutta’s Presidency College at the age of 15 years. He was given master degree in Applied Mathematics soon after at the University of Calcutta.

Bose started his career by giving lectures on physics. While teaching postgraduate students on Planck’s radiation formula he wondered the way particles were counted and began experimenting with his own theories.

Research work:

Any particle that aligns with Bose’s statistics today is known as a boson. Many scientific inventions have derived from his work. Some inventions are includes the discovery of the particle accelerator and the God particle.

The Google doodle indicates Bose performing an experiment. Bose has been recognized for his collaboration with Albert Einstein in developing a theory regarding the gaslike qualities of electromagnetic radiation.
