Har Ghar Tiranga : 75 Years of Independence of India
India is going to be celebrated 75 years of Independence from British Raj on 15th August 2022. To make this historic moment a special one India planned a year as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ under which many programmes, initiatives, schemes and campaign have been celebrated over this year.
Now Indian Government campaign a Pan-India celebration named as ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. Under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ all Indians are permitted to hoist flag at their homes from 13th August to 15th August.
Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign:
More than 20 crore national flags have been availed to people across the country since the announcement of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested to people to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement by hoisting or displaying the national flag in their homes between August 13-15.
The government has visualized the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ (tricolor at every home) exercise in the run up to the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
As per the officials said a modification in the flag code has also brought spike in demand for the national flag.
Flag Code of India, 2002:
The government has made an amendment in the Flag Code, 2002 for allowing the country’s flag the tri-colour to fly both day and night and be machine-made besides the use of polyester.
As part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the auspices of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the government, the culture ministry, various Union ministers, among others has appealed to the people to hoist the Indian tri-colour at their homes.
The government of India has also been proposing to people proper ways to display a flag at their homes, and urging them to take a selfie with ‘Tiranga’ or pin location a flag near them on the internet.
PM Modi had announced that the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is turning into a mass movement and urged people to put ‘Tiranga’ as the profile picture of their social media accounts between August 2 and 15.
