Marathi LPT for Bank Exams: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has already announced the result of the IBPS clerk mains exam. Based on the performance in the mains exam, candidates will be called upon for the Document Verification (DV). In Document Verification (DV), eligible candidates will be asked to submit the required documents. Then qualified candidates will appear for the Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Marathi LPT (Language Proficiency Test) Classes:

IBPS Clerk Exam – Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) will be taken of the candidates who are qualified in the mains exam.

Language Proficiency Test is conducted to assess the knowledge of the native language of a candidate of that particular region.

The LPT is taken in the local (official) language of the particular zone (state) for which the candidate has applied.

The LPT is of qualifying nature. The candidates should have a good knowledge of the local language.

Candidates will be judged based on the proficiency of local (official) language and so will qualify or disqualify.

The main motto of this test is to make sure that the IBPS clerk candidate can communicate better with the local people of the region on a day-to-day basis.

What is the Importance of the Language Proficiency Test (LPT)?

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) is important because of the fact that if the candidate is not efficient in the local (official) Language he/she would be disqualified, even if you have cleared the preliminary and the mains exam.

This is what makes the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) so significant. Qualifying in the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) is very crucial.

Hence, the candidate is suggested to apply for that state whose language is known to him/her.

The official statement from the IBPS clerk notification: Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

LPT Pattern:

The LPT is conducted to assess the ability of a candidate to read, write and communicate in the local (official) language and whether he/she can work in the local (official) language on a day-to-day basis, or not. The banking organization may take both written and verbal exams.

Reading: The candidate will be asked to read out a paragraph of about 15-20 sentences in the local (official) language.

Writing: The candidate will be asked to write few sentences on a general topic in the local (official) language. The topic can also be essay or letter writing.

Communication: The candidates will be asked to introduce themselves in the local (official) language. Candidates will be questioned and they will need to answer in the local (official) language.

Comprehension: The candidates will be asked to solve a comprehension to check their ability to process the paragraph and comprehend the meaning of the paragraph. A Comprehension passage is given to the candidate followed by a few questions.
