IBPS SO 2026 Notification
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the IBPS SO 2026 Notification (CRP SPL-XVI) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers (Scale I) in participating Public Sector Banks. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their online application from 1 July 2026 to 21 July 2026 through the official IBPS website.

IBPS SO 2026 Educational Qualification
IT Officer (Scale I)
- Four-year Engineering Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or related disciplines OR
- Post Graduate Degree in relevant disciplines OR
- Graduate with DOEACC ‘B’ Level qualification.
Agricultural Field Officer
Four-year Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fisheries, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Technology and other prescribed agricultural disciplines.
Rajbhasha Adhikari
- Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English at Graduation level OR
- Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit with Hindi and English at Graduation level.
Law Officer
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council.
HR/Personnel Officer
Graduate with Two-Year Full-Time PG Degree/PG Diploma in Personnel Management, HR, HRD, Labour Law, Industrial Relations or Social Work.
Marketing Officer
Graduate with Two-Year Full-Time MBA (Marketing), MMS (Marketing), PGDM/PGPM/PGDBA/PGDBM with Marketing specialization.

IBPS SO 2026 Selection Process
Selection will be conducted in three stages:
- Online Preliminary Examination
- Online Main Examination
- Interview
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of Main Examination and Interview.

IBPS SO 2026 Main Exam Pattern
The Main Examination consists of Objective Tests along with Descriptive Paper (where applicable). Professional Knowledge carries the highest weightage and plays a major role in final selection.
