ICC Men’s World Cup 2023: Australia Won

The 13th edition of ICC men’s cricket world cup has finished in an amazing way but we Indians couldn’t celebrate the win even though being an invincible team till the final match.

Australia won the world cup trophy and India lost the finals. India played very well in the entire tournament and almost won every match except the final match which was scheduled with Australia.

Australia chose to ball first by winning the toss and India’s score was 240 by the end. Australia needed 241 in 50 overs and with a century of Travis Head Australia scored 241 runs and won the final.

In 2023 world cup which was a ODI world cup was hosted by India. It was the 13rd edition. The final match was conducted in Narendra Modi stadium Ahmedabad.

Highlights of the finals:

This was the 6th world cup trophy for Australia. Australia had already won five world cups. Australia defeated India by 6 wickets in the final of ICC men’s cricket world cup 2023.

India couldn’t win the finals but Indian players are present in every high spot. Virat Kohli became player of the tournament because of his outstanding performance in the world cup.

Virat Kohli also became the player with most runs( 765) In the entire tournament. He scored the most runs in the world cup 2023. Mohammed Shami was also conferred to the most wickets taking player of the tournament. He took 24 wickets in the entire world cup 2023.

Till now India won two ODI world cups. The first world cup won by India was scheduled in 1983. In that world India won by defeating the West Indies in the final match.
