- PwBD Reservation: Out of the total 49 posts, 1 post is reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per specified categories. Candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility requirements before applying:
Essential Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any of the following disciplines:
- Information Technology (IT)
- Computer Science (CS)
- Electronics and Communications (EC)
- Electrical Engineering (EE)
- Instrumentation Engineering (IN)
- Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA)
Or a combination of any of the above branches.
The degree must be from a recognized University or Institute.
Recruitment Criteria:
Selection is based on direct recruitment through a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Score for the year 2025 in the corresponding engineering disciplines (CS/EC/EE/IN/DA).
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of the closing date for online applications (June 2, 2025).
Age Relaxation:
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India rules:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules (Period of military service + 3 years, subject to conditions)
- Domiciled in J&K (01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989): 5 years
Central Govt. employees (3 years continuous service): 5 years.
If a candidate is eligible for multiple concessions, only the one with the highest permissible limit will be granted.
Reservation Criteria:
Candidates seeking reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) must possess valid certificates in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority before the application closing date. Specific requirements apply for OBC-NCL (certificate for 2025-2026) and EWS (Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2024-2025 issued after 01.04.2025).

IHMCL Engineers Selection Procedure:
The selection process for the Engineer (ITS) post will be conducted as follows:
- GATE 2025 Score: The primary selection criterion is the merit based on the valid GATE 2025 score in the relevant disciplines (CS/EC/EE/IN/DA).
- Interview (Optional): IHMCL reserves the right to conduct interviews for shortlisted candidates based on GATE score cut-offs, which will be decided by IHMCL.
- Shortlisting: If a large number of applications are received, IHMCL may adopt shortlisting criteria to limit the number of candidates called for interaction/interview.
- Tie-Breaker: If two or more candidates in the same category have equal scores/marks in the final merit list, the candidate older in age will be ranked higher.
- Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted based on GATE score (and interview, if conducted) will be called for document verification.
Salary and Benefits: Engineer (ITS) Position
Selected candidates will be appointed in the E-1 Grade with the IDA pay pattern and can expect the following compensation package:
- Pay Scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000/- (E-1 Grade, IDA Pattern)
- Approximate Initial Monthly Salary: ₹84,000/- (This includes Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Cafeteria Allowance, House Rent Allowance, etc.)
- Approximate Annual CTC: ₹11 Lakhs
- Service Bond: Selected candidates must execute a service bond for ₹3.00 lakhs, committing to serve IHMCL for a minimum of 3 years from the date of joining.
