India and France hosted Global Civil aviation event
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Solar Alliance to make global aviation sector solar energy resilient and advanced.
The International Solar Alliance is an initiative that was first proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has presented at the jointly organized event by India and France. He stated that the event signs a new dawn for the use of solar energy in the global civil aviation sector.
Need of solar energy in aviation sector:
Today it is indeed that ensuring lowering of carbon emissions is most important.
In respective capacities, the action of fiduciary responsible holders is must for the next generation.
Creating an environment that is sustainable for generations to come.
Signing of MoU:
On request of India the president of ICAO must forge a partnership along with this international solar alliance that covers from tropic of cancer to tropic of Capricorn.
Almost 121 countries are a part of International solar alliance that has desire to build a better and a safer better tomorrow.
Union Minister of India, Jyotiraditya Scindia has thanked the president of ICAO for choosing this historic step. He also stated that all are looking forward to deliberations in the days to come.
Background of strong platform:
At COP 26, PM Modi had declared India’s Panchamrit strategy with targets for climate action that included initiatives like International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).
Jyotiraditya Scindia has informed via tweet that he participated in a conference with heads of delegations of six Asia-Pacific countries of ICAO.
An event of APAC conference:
The participation in a conference with Heads of Delegations of 6 #APAC countries of the @icao Council to strengthen cooperation on civil aviation issues.
India has invited them for an APAC Ministerial Conference early next year.
As per the ministry officials the conference might take place in February 2023.
