Indian football team made proud moment: Won SAFF championship 9^th times

Indian football team won South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship trophy after defeating Kuwait in the final match. India and Kuwait scored same number of goals at the finish time 1-1 but India lead the game by 5-4 on penalties.

Penalties’ shoot out:

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, India’s star goalkeeper saved the final shot of the penalty shoot-out from Kuwait captain Khalid El-Ebrahim.

The Indian fans have celebrated the winning moment like never before.

India won on the penalty shoot-out 5-4 after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time (90 minutes) plus extra time (30 minutes).

It is the 14^th edition of the SAFF championship and its final match held at the Sree Kanteerava stadium in Bangalore, India.
