Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Intelligence Bureau has released the notification for the recruitment of for the Post of Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (IB ACIO) Grade-II with 2000 Vacancies. ♦IB ACIO Recruitment 2020: Is it a permanent job?
In the notification of IB ACIO following is mentioned in the NOTE (b) of the first point (i.e., 1. DESCRIPTION OF POST):
- “Appointment to the post will be temporary. However, appointment in permanent capacity will depend on various factors governing permanent appointment in such post in force at that time. Successful completion of mandatory induction training is a pre-requisite for confirmation to the post
This certainly means that the IB ACIO job is a temporary job. But, it will be made permanent depending on various factors, and for the confirmation of post, complete induction training is necessary.

♦ IB ACIO 2020 Salary Structure:
- Level 7 (Rs.44,900-1,42,400) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.
Note:
(i) Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay in addition to other Govt. allowances.
(ii) Cash compensation in lieu of duty performed on holidays subject to a ceiling of 30 days.
