LIC AAO (1B): Remodifications Exam Pattern and Syllabus
The LIC AAO (1B) examination is conducted by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) to Assistants (Class III employees) to the position of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO).
The LIC Assistant to AAO Promotion Examination is an internal promotional exam conducted for eligible LIC employees who have completed the prescribed service period and meet the required eligibility criteria. A clear understanding of the official exam pattern and syllabus is essential for effective preparation and success in this competitive departmental examination.

- LIC PROMOTION TEST OF THE SYLLALBI FOR PROMOTION/DEPARTMENTAL/APTITTUDE TEST
( In APPENDIX II of the Instructions for Implementation of Life Insurance Corporation of India Class III
and Class IV Employees Promotion Rules, 1987) after modification will read as follows:
There will be two papers, each of two and half hours (150 minutes) duration and each carrying 100
marks.
First Paper: Objective Type Test of General English: The test will be designed to assess the ability of
the candidate in General English including comprehension, sentence / paragraph formation,
vocabulary and grammar.
Second Paper: Objective Type Test : The topics covered under the said Test are as follows:-Managerial Ability and Aptitude and Knowledge of Insurance.

LIC AAO (1B) Eligibility Requirements
Service Requirements
- Minimum Service Period: 5 years of continuous service as LIC Assistant.
- Current Status: Must be currently working as Assistant in LIC.
Professional Qualification Required
You must possess ONE of the following:
- Fellowship (FIII): Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India.
- Associateship: Federation of Insurance Institutes.
- Chartered Insurance: CII (UK) qualification.
- Alternative: Intermediate ICAI, Actuarial Society subjects, etc.
