Madhya Pradesh emerges as leader in tree plantation under “Green Credit Plan”
The Indian state that has proven itself as a leader in various aspects many times, Madhya Pradesh, again emerges as the leader in the Tree Plan under the Green Credit Plan.
Madhya Pradesh has emerged and is leading in implementing one of the ambitious plans of the country named “Green Credit plan” with having the highest 954 hectares of approved degraded forest land for plantation under the Green Credit Plan.

Other five states which have been approved under the scheme are Bihar, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Odisha.
Green Credit Programme:
The aim of the Green Credit Programme is to encourage plantation, greening exercise and other environmental actions across various sectors.
Under this Programme any individual, private companies, communities, Industries who take part in environmental activities such as water conservation, afforestation, plantation, greeting exercises and many other activities, are incentivized.
The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education is the responsible authority for administering, monitoring, managing and operating the Green Credit Plan.
To get the incentives under the Programme,individuals and other participants must register themselves and their activities through a dedicated app and website.
In the past two months, there have been 500 land parcels spanning 4980 hectares across 10 states approved under this Programme.
Conclusion:
The Green Credit Programme is one the great initiatives of the center and has witnessed great performances so far. Many states, individuals, private Enterprises and other companies are coming forward to make this initiative an unprecedented example.
