Gaganyaan is India’s first manned mission to the space which is being designed by ISRO. Gaganyaan spacecraft was set to be launched in 2021, but due to disruption caused by covid-19, the project was delayed. It will have 3 flights, where first 2 will be done without any crew member. It is expected to complete this project by the end of this year.
Purpose: ISRO will supervise its capability for conducting human spaceflight at Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
Achievement: It will create the foundation of the Indian Human Space Exploration program by the Gaganyaan project. It will be complete by 2023.
India would be the fourth country to send a man to space after Russia, the US and China.
Cost: Rs.9000 crore
Disha and Trishan mission:
It has been delayed 2 years due to covid-19 outbreak. It will create major boost towards business opportunities, economic development and industrial development.
Disha: It is a twin satellite experiment that will study the uppermost layer of the atmosphere
Disha: Disturbed and quiet-type system at high Altitude
Trishna: This project is developing with the joint collaboration with CNES France to map the land surface more accurately.
Aditya L-1 Mission:
ISRO is planning Aditya L-1 mission to observe and to collect data from the Sun which is the first Indian mission on the sun.
There will be 6 payloads on this mission which will travel upto 1.5 million kilometer distance.
It is a same version of National Highway Development project. Central government is planning to develop 50,000 kilometer long network of roads, highways and express way.
With the project economic corridors, border areas and remote areas connectivity will be built which will create more efficiency in exports.
It will boost business, growth, imports-exports and process of whole transporation.
It is ambitious project of India to develop India’s logistics sector at coastal regions.
It will reduce carbon emission, saves time and save at least 40 thousand crore annually.
Dedicated Freight corridors:
It is a flagship project of the Indian railways. It has two arms: Eastern dedicated freight corridor and Western dedicated freight corridor.
It reduces delay of passenger trains; it will enhance more capacity and payload capacity on carrier trains.
Bullet train project:
Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train is the India’s first bullet train. It will also have India’s first underwater tunnel. Trials will be done at 350 kmph by 2026. Operational speed will be 320 kmph.
International North South Transport Corridor:
It is a multi-modal transportation project that was start in 2000 to enhance co-operation in transportation sector.
It will linked Indian Ocean and Persian gulf by Caspian sea.
World one tower:
It will situate at Lodha palace in Mumbai. It is one of the three signature Russian building master plan.
It is the highest Skyscraper of India and ranked 276th in the world. It was started in 2011 and completed in 2019.
Currently it is the tallest residential building in India.
It is developed by ISRO for navigation purposes. It is also called as ‘Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS)’.
It has been connected with 8 satellites. As per ISRO it is an independent region navigation satellite system which operational on only India’s own GPS.
This project extends the goal of Indian Self-Reliance in the field of technology.
India based Neutrino Observatory (INO):
It is an underground neutrino detection facility. INO will find Earth Neutrino detector.
It is being built at Theni district of Tamil Nadu.
50 Scientist from 15 different institutes has created National Neutrino Collaboration Group.
It is an indigenous version of 5G networks which is being jointly developed by IIT Madras and IIT Hyderabad.
It has been approved by International Communication Union.
It will render more range on lower frequency and cap the cost compared to 5G.
Vaccine Maitri Programme:
India is emerging as the vaccine hub in the world amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
India provides vaccines to numbers of countries under its umbrella project named ‘Vaccine Maitri programme’.
Projects in Farming Sector:
Central government enhances its efforts for an overall development in the farming sector with technology, innovation and capital investment.

National Scheme on Welfare of Fishermen and Micro Irrigation Fund or MIF
Farmers have been assisted like subsidy, technological support, equipment, awareness and hassle-free arrangement of funding under above mentioned projects.
National Solar Mission:
It was started in 2010 as the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission to make India world leader in solar power.
This mission focuses on policy making and energy creation across the country. Currently there are more than 40 solar parks in India.
Bhadla Solar park in Rajasthan is the largest solar park in the world.
India targets to generate 100 GW energy from solar power by 2022.
