‘NITI for States’ Platform is going to be launched by Ashwini Vaishnaw

Minister of Communications, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw is going to launch NITI Aayog’s NITI For States platform at Rang Bhawan auditorium, Akashvani, New Delhi.

The NITI for States platform is going to be a Digital Public Infrastructure aiming for good governance and policy implementation. It is a cross sectoral knowledge platform.

Features of the Platform:

• One of the major features of the NITI for States platform is that it will represent a multi-sectoral live repository of 7,500 Best Practices, 5,000 Policy documents, 900+ datasets, 1,400 data profiles, and 350 NITI publications.
• The platform will provide Information of around 10 sectors including Agriculture, Education, Energy, Health, Livelihoods and Skilling, Manufacturing, MSME, Tourism, Urban, Water resources & WASH across two cross-cutting themes – Gender and Climate Change.
• The NITI for States platform has a user-friendly Interface that will enable users to navigate without any hardships.
• The NITI for States platform will be accessible through various devices including mobile phones.

Importance:

• The NITI for States platform will help the government to achieve digital transformation and provide government officials with improved, relevant and ready to do action type knowledge and insights.
• The NITI for States platform will also work to improve the decision making quality of government officials.
• It will also support district collectors and block level functionaries by providing them access to some best practices across various States and Union Territories.

Viksit Bharat Strategy Room:

Minister of Communications, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw also launched ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ at NITI Aayog. It is a kind of interactive space where users can be able to get experience in visualizing data, trends, best practices, technologies and policies.

It will help users to make a holistic assessment of any problem. It will also allow users to interact with various stakeholders through voice enabled Artificial Intelligence and they can also connect with others through videoconferencing.

The iGOT Karmayogi online training modules called “SAMARTH” can also be accessible through this portal.
