Eligibility Criteria:
- BE/B Tech/B Sc (Engineering)/5 year Integrated M Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in one of the 6 engineering disciplines mentioned in the Table below from University/Deemed University or Institute recognized by AICTE/UGC. A minimum of 60% marks means the marks as per the ordinances of the respective university.
- Applicants must have a valid GATE-2023 or GATE-2024 or GATE-2025 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline.
iii. Engineering degrees allowed for each discipline are as follows:

Age Limit (Age as on 30/04/2025): 26 years
Age Relaxation:
- OBC (NCL): 3 years (29 years)
- SC/ST: 5 years (31 years)
- PwBD: 10 years (up to 36/39/41 years depending on category)
- Ex-Servicemen/DODPKIA: 5 years (31 years)
Note :
i. For applicants eligible for age relaxation in more than one category, cumulative age relaxation available is subject to a maximum of 56 years.
ii. There is no age limit for employees serving in NPCIL who otherwise fulfil the prescribed criteria.
Stipend – During Training :
• Monthly Stipend – Rs.74,000/-
• One time Book Allowance – Rs.30,000/-
• Mandatory Lodging & Boarding– In accommodation as provided by NPCIL.
Pay – On Appointment as SO/C :
After successful completion of training, Executive Trainee will be appointed as Scientific Officer/C in Group ‘A’ as detailed below :

NPCIL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2025 Selection Process:
The selection process for NPCIL Executive Trainees 2025 includes the following steps:
- Shortlisting: Based on GATE 2023/2024/2025 scores (1:12 ratio).
- Personal Interview: Candidates shortlisted will be called for an interview (tentatively from 9 June to 21 June 2025).
- Final Selection: Based on interview performance and medical fitness. GATE scores carry no weight in the final selection.
- Qualifying Marks in Interview:
- General: 70%
- EWS/SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD: 60%
Document Verification: Original documents will be verified during the interview.
