PM Narendra Modi launched Sankalp Saptaah
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a week-long programme called ‘Sankalp Saptaah’ for the country’s aspirational blocks at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today (i.e. 30th September).
The week-long program is attached with the nationwide Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) to create good quality of life for citizens.
PM Narendra Modi has made his interaction with the people including panchayat and block-level people’s representatives at the venue.
Sankalp Saptah:
‘Sankalp Saptah’ programme is being implemented in 500 aspirational blocks across 329 districts in the country with an aim to improve governance at the block level in order to enhance the quality of life of citizens.
‘Sankalp Saptaah’ represents the culmination of these thoughtful deliberations and it is going to be observed in all of the 500 aspirational blocks.
Themes for each day:
As the ‘Sankalp Saptaah’ will starting from October 3 and will complete on October 9, a dedicated and specific development theme for each day to all aspirational blocks have been decided to work on.
Themes: Sampoorna Swasthya, Suposhit Pariwaar, Swachhta, Krishi, Shiksha, and Samridhi Diwas, etc.
On 9th October, a celebration will be made on ‘Sankalp Saptaah – Samavesh Samaroh’ theme for entire week.
The inaugural event will organised at Bharat Mandapam which might be participated by approximately 3,000 panchayat and block-level people’s representatives and functionaries along with about two lakh people including block and panchayat level functionaries, farmers, and persons from other walks of life, joining virtually.
