Seven persons P, Q, R, S, T, U, V are sitting in a row facing north watching movies. No two persons can sit together according to alphabetical order (for ex- P can’t sit with Q and Q can’t sit with P & R and so on….). Each of them watching either Raid or Baaghi. All the persons are sitting in ascending order according to the amount paid by them for buying ticket from the left to right. Only two persons sit between S and T and none of them sit at an extreme end. V sit third to the right of Q. R is watching Baaghi and sit at one of the extreme end. Only one person sits between R and P. Only three persons sit between those persons who watch Baaghi. S does not watch Baaghi. The immediate neighbors of all those persons who watch Baaghi are watching Raid.
Eight persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H are going for a vacation in four different months viz. January, March, April and June. Also each of them travel via different vehicles viz. Car, Train, Bike. Not more than three persons are going for vacation in a single month. Only one person is going by one vehicle in a month. A is going with only H in same month having 30 days. F is going by Car and going in a month immediately before A. B is going with E but in a month having 31 days. G is neither going in a month having 30 days nor goes with F. There are two months gap in between E and C going for vacation. C is not going in the same month as H. D is going by Car and H is going by train. Both B and A are going by same vehicle. Both C and E are going by same vehicle but neither of them goes by Bike. G and C are not going by Car.
Note: Only the given four months are considered in the given puzzle.
Solution
No two persons can sit together according to alphabetical order (for ex- P can’t sit with Q and Q can’t sit with P & R and so on….). From this we can say that S can’t sit with R so, T will sit next of R in both cases. Rest V sit third to the right of Q. In case-2 Only one position left for Q is the next position of P but P can’t sit with Q so, case-2 has been eliminated. Now, with case-1 Q will sit at the extreme left end and V sit to the immediate left of P. And rest U sit in between S and Q.
R is watching Baaghi. The immediate neighbours of all those persons who watch Baaghi are watching Raid. So, T is watching Raid. And S does not watch Baaghi. So, S is watching Raid. Only three persons sit between those persons who watch Baaghi. So, only one condition is that Both Q and P are watching Baaghi and their immediate neighbours U and V are watching Raid. All the persons are sitting in ascending order according to the amount paid by them for buying ticket from left to right.
A is going with only H in same month having 30 days. C is not going in the same month as H. F is going by Car and going in a month immediately before A. So, F is going in March and both A and H are going in April.
G is neither going in a month having 30 days nor goes with F. So, Only one condition left that G is going in month of January. G and C are not going by Car. H is going by train.
Both B and A are going by same vehicle. So, B can’t go by Train. Both C and E are going by same vehicle but neither of them goes by Bike. So, it is clear that both C and E are going by train.
Now, it is clear that G is going by Bike and both B and A are going by Car. D is going by Car as we can see that Only one position left for D i.e. D goes in the month of June by Car.
