Telangana starts Digital Family Register for better public services
Introduction
- Scheme Launch: The Telangana Government launched the Family Register Initiative on 14 July 2026 through G.O. Ms. No. 172 of the Revenue Department.

Information in the Register
- Family Head: It will record the name of the family head.
- Member Names: It will have the names of every member of the family
- Relationship details: It will explain the relationship of each family member with the head of the family.
- Age Information: The date of birth and age of each member will be recorded.
- Gender Record: This will consist the gender of each individual family member.
- Aadhaar Number: Will have the Aadhaar number of all registered members.
- Home Address: This will contain the current residential address of the family.
- Other Details: It will also contain other important personal details needed to provide government services.
Family Register Certificate
- If Available: You can get the Family Register Certificate from MeeSeva Centers, MeeSeva online portal and MeeSeva mobile application.
- Eligibility Criteria: Any adult member whose name is on the Family Register may apply for the certificate.
- Service Charge: The charge for issuance of the certificate has been fixed at ₹62.
- Fast Delivery: The certificate will be issued within two working days, helping people get official documents without long waiting.
