Parbhani unrest: Man in custody died from ‘shock caused by injuries’

  • Somnath Suryawanshi, 35, died in judicial custody in Parbhani district on Sunday, reportedly due to “shock following multiple injuries,” as per the provisional post-mortem report.
  • Suryawanshi was among 50+ people arrested after the December 11 violent protests following the vandalism of a glass-enclosed Constitution replica near Babasaheb Ambedkar’s statue at Parbhani railway station.
