Police shift Wangchuk to hospital on Day 21 of fast
- Activist Sonam Wangchuk was taken away by the police from the Jantar Mantar protest site on Saturday morning, which was a major setback for the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

- India reached a big milestone in space as the country’s first privately built orbital rocket, Vikram-1, successfully carried multiple technology demonstration payloads and postcards, including one sent by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, into low Earth orbit.
- The mission was named ‘Mission Aagaman’ (which means “arrival”) and made India only the third country in the world where a privately developed rocket has successfully placed payloads into orbit.
- Private space company Skyroot Aerospace called the mission a “grand success.”
- Vikram-1 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, at 12:05 p.m.
- Pawan Kumar Chandana, Co-founder and CEO of Skyroot Aerospace, said that Vikram-1 successfully completed every major step of the mission during the flight. He said the launch proved that the rocket’s propulsion system, avionics, and guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems worked properly under real flight conditions.
- After the successful launch, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with the Skyroot Aerospace team over the phone and called it a defining moment in India’s space journey.
