  • Whereas eradication of disease means permanent end of a disease with no risk of reintroduction.
  • Elimination of transmission is very important to improve the Health condition of people, especially poor people, because they are highly vulnerable to these types of diseases.
  • The certification from global agencies has significant importance. It increases the overall involvement of the Health community workers and people.
  • It also improves political, international and public support.
  • But the process of elimination of transmission is highly challenging because it needs intensive resources and creates a load on health systems and in the aftermath other important health functions are being neglected.
  • Careful Analysis of cost and benefits is very important to generate best outcomes.
  • To improve the process the government should invest in the development of various effective Surveillance Systems.
  • There are also some other factors important to improve the process of elimination of transmission and the total eradication of the disease such as multi-sectoral support and collaboration, encouraging innovation and Adopting new and effective Surveillance System.
