• Covid-19 vaccination does not increase the risk of heart attack, a study published in the journal PLOS ONE has claimed.
• It is based on a retrospective analysis of the case history of 1,578 heart attack patients who were admitted to GB Pant hospital in Delhi between August 2021 and August 2022.
• According to the study, led by Dr Mohit Gupta, of the total patients, 1006 (69%) were vaccinated while 492 subjects (31%) were unvaccinated.
